Me aswell, my buddy owns one and when i ran him he had full bolt ons gears and tune all he is missing is LT's i started 1.5 cars behind and went around him after i caught traction mid 2nd gear. My car has 4 mods.

Like I said, it's been a best of 8.4 @ 89mph. The norm is 8.5 @ 87. It made quite a few consecutive passes at those times/speed. The only weight reduction is it has racing seats up front and cloth rears, which the rears will be replaced by a delete kit before the 2013 season anyway.

Depending on what four mods you had, it sounds like your buddy's car deserves a better driver honestly. I may have a combination of a strong running car/decent driving but that's all up to interpretation.

I'll be the first to tell you, just check my SVTPerformance post history, Cobra's and 4V's in general don't hold up to a LS1 stock for stock or mod for mod, but a full bolt-on (minus LT's I see, which do help considerably) and geared Cobra with traction should more than keep up with a basically modded LS1.

i have ported TB, LID, LT's, exhaust stock tune. He's a good driver, known him since HS. Put it this way he was racing my buddy in an auto c5 vette in front of me and i was half a car or so behind the vette and i hit it after they did, i just was on the vettes *** and went around the mustang. Mid to high 2nd gear, when i put in third and let third run out i was 1.5-2 cars ahead, when i top out fourth and hit 5th i was several cars infront, could have called it a bus. This is my personal experience with this platform, haven't ran another one.

Good looking SN95 Cobra!

I always wanted a black or white one, just couldn't afford them when they were new.

The cool thing is if you want more power, you have several options. Put a blower on it, or do a Terminator or Coyote swap. You could do a LS swap, but I would think that it would hurt it's value since it's a actual Cobra.
