GT 11 stealth cam, dropped idle, and true duals
For years I have been looking for a cam that I can daily drive, make good power, and get great sound. This is my first cam in a LS1. I have damn near heard and seen many cams on the dyno. As for my exhaust, on the dyno, with my y piped Borla dump exhaust I picked up 44RWHP with this cam. I know i'll pick up more with the true duals. Soon as I put the true duals on the car, just regular driving the car felt 100 times better.
When we first installed the GT 11 cam, on start up without a tune we were amazed that you couldn't hear the cam. All we had to do now was see the power gain. I hope this helps you guys with the cam you decide to go with in the future. BTW it is a great nitrous cam. =)
Engine mods:
Big toys 104 lid
Ported Tbody
LS6 intake
Zo6 c5 maf
TR55 plugs, TR6s for nitrous
Pacesetter Long tubes 1 7/8
True duals done at a muffler shop
GT 11 Cam
Dual titanium springs
None Ported 806 heads

Damn never been a fan of that, but if I have time I'll make a drive-by, then getting on it. The only thing that didn't sound right when it was stealth was when I got on it. It didn't sound how a stock LS1 on WOT would sound like. I'll try to do it after work tomorrow.
Good point, should have thought of it before I posted this video.

I have a manual valve body 4l60e, meaning I have to shift it. Car has a TCI 3500/3800 stall. This also means we can't get a good reading on the dyno. Well before the cam it was 291 rwhp after the cam it was 335rwhp. When the car had 291 rwhp it was doing 12.2's at the end of the season with no cam.
BTW had the car weighed at Waste Management today. With a full tank of gas it was at 3330lbs without me in it. A full take of gas is 80 something lbs. But I've always ran better will more gas in the car. I can leave harder, cause I have weight over the rear wheels.

Chadroosa, just remember I have a manual valve body trans. The dyne can't get a good HP reading. My 291rwhp isn't a true read.
Phoenix with this cam my idle set that low doesn't cause me any problems. But that maybe due to the fact I have a 6speed computer. You can not set ur idle that low with any cam.
