no more ms3 for me although that cam pulled like hell up top and had a nice chop, always got alot of comments on it. my ms3 is on my youtube. moved onto a choppy blower cam now

I get complaints all the time, my parents hate it too lol, they refuse to ride in it as well

Wow I didn't realize that was your vid on youtube. That vid you posted of your cam awhile ago was one of the bigger reasons I chose this cam

1100 on startup for about 10 seconds, then it sits at 900

How drivable is the MS3, I'm considering in the near future but I keep hearing its too big for a 5.3. BUT I just love how it sounds.

I wouldn't put it in a 5.3, I believe it is too big anyways.

Its all on your tuner, gears make it more livable but it is a max effort cam and really starts to shine with Heads and a good intake....

I am trying to finish piecing all of together, but so far this is what it looking like mentally, LT 1 7/8 headers, 4k+ stall, 4.11 rear, ported ls2 intake, prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads. Only thing I'm up against the wall with is th400 or 4l60

Agreed, a lot has to do with the tune for a cam that large. That will also help with the driveability.

I liked my ms4 but its on its way out now,waiting for the new one,as far as the ms3 in 5.3s,search its been done,

I wish my MS3 would idle like that. For some DAMN ****** reason I have to keep idle at 1175. If is sit at 900, the idle gets very stagnent... it doesnt have that chop. and nobody or tuner can figure it out. the only fix is to up the idle and it goes away..

I have even talk to the guys at Texas Speed and they dont know why either.. I make great power, just cant idle like that sitting at 900.. SUX ***!!!

thats weird, mine was around 950. any lower and the engine looked like it was ready to jump out.

Like others said, make sure you have a good tuner and you should be ok. I use this as my daily driver for now, until I decide on a beater, and for the most part it behaves. Being that I have a M6 it loves to buck around 1500rpm, and there's no getting around that, it isn't unbearable though, as long as you aren't in traffic. If you're going with an auto you'll be fine, as long as you have a big stall. IMO though a MS3 might be a bit too much for my taste in a 5.3, especially if i'm gonna be driving it everyday

But jeeezus does this cam pull up top, it's like Vtec in a V8 lol. Especially with a proper intake and heads, it screams.

It's gotta be either a vacuum, fuel, or spark problem.
