Best video making prog

Just wondering what you program guys use to make your video compilations and stuff?

I use Windows Movie Maker. Good for noobs like me and you. You can probably download it somwhere. You can combine videos, cut out parts you don't want, add still photos, add backround music and adjust its volume, fading transitions. Thats pretty much it. It won't do the neater stuff like adjusting the volume for different parts of the movie, add text, slow motion, etc...

I have videostudio by Ulead also, but like Vegas video better

As soon as I snag some webspace, I will throw up my video that I made from my day at the gun range
