I know the ZR1 is fast, but that Corvair was moving.

True story. I think I have some other footage of that car. It was dialed in around the 10-11 sec range.

I think this is tenth time I've seen that claimed on this site. And yet it's STILL wrong. When it goes mid 8s over 160, THEN it might be able to claim something.

Don't ZR1s run high 10s stock? You'd think by now someone has to have gone faster than a 9.43.... I guess maybe not though.

Vids or slips? A race bodied ZR1 isn't a ZR1 in my book if that's what you're referring to...

No, I'm talking about an original 1990 ZR1 with a factory body. It is a backhalf car, but it has a genuine ZR1 VIN, manual trans, and a stroked LT5. It's still a ZR1, it's a LOT faster and quicker than your example, AND IT'S NATURALLY ASPIRATED.

If we are going to go back to those zr1's I have one that goes 10 flat on motor.

I put the new zr1's in another class though from the old zr1's

I've personally witnessed a new production ZR1 run mid 8's. It's a silver one, the guy is from south Texas somewhere, saw him run it at the track in San Antonio. I can't remember the exact time but 8.63 comes to mind for some reason.

You know he was referring to the C6 ZR1. Besides he said ZR1, not ZR-1.

What makes it the worlds quickest? Is it stock or something? That's not very fast for what I'm used to seeing.

BIG PROPS to my buddy Mark Carlyle (AtomicFusion) for going 8.68 @ 164.80mph with a 1.36 60' at National Trail Raceway just a few minutes ago!!!! His car is well known around this forum and Columbus, OH and is a product of IPS Motorsports. I'm sure he'll chime in very soon!
