Default VR 707-rwhp Centennial Edition ZR1...

Remember the pump gas 1,000+ horsepower 457 cubic-inch twin turbo C6Z that we finished a couple of months ago? Well, the owner bought a mint '12 Centennial Edition ZR1 for more daily driven fun and he didn't waste any time at all bringing it by the shop for some Vengeance Racing upgrades. This time, we played it cool with the mods, but still managed to pump out 707-rwhp on 14 pounds of boost using regular ol' pump gas and the stock cylinder heads. Of course, we'll be upgrading those eventually.

Engine:
Vengeance Racing Camshaft Kit PLUS
LPE ZR1 Snout with custom port matching
Nick Williams 102mm throttle body with custom port matching
LPE high-flow cold air induction system
American Racing Headers 2-inch long-tubes with an off-road X-pipe
B&B Fusion exhaust (Mild 2 Wild)

Boost:
Stock ZR1 supercharger
2.60-inch upper pulley, 14-inch lower damper
LPE 100mm idler kit and a solid isolator
Vengeance Racing heat exchanger system

Results:
The ZR1 made big power stock, putting down 532.18-rwhp and 511.40 lb-ft of torque. That was on 9.7 pounds of boost and the factory calibration. After the Vengeance touch and tuning by Vengeance PCM, the ZR1 woke up big, laying down 707.62-rwhp and 672.80 lb-ft of torque.

This is the car I was dealing on before I bought my Grand Sport. Gorgeous car and nice work! Not sure I like the tow hook?

I haven't logged in for awhile but had to for this. Whoever it was that said Corvettes should not be a dream car, look at this. Just because its price tag isn't $300k, and the hard plastic materials on the interior are rather cheap. This thing screams America. Don't care what you think, my absolute 2 dream cars are the Centennial Z06/ZR1.

Can't wait to get my joureymans card/raise so I can finally pull the switch on a C6Z...

Agreed, but rather than paying depreciation on a brand new Cent. ZR1, I am waiting until depreciation has taken it's full toll and then will look again (depending on what the C7 Z models look like of course). Hopefully I will have a shop built by then as the garage is already full!

Thanks for all the good words guys. We talked to our customer just last week and he has put almost 1000 trouble free tire melting miles on his ZR1 after picking it up from Vengeance.

C5kid, the camshaft is actually a custom spec cam. A lil too mild for most. Feel free to give us a call or shoot me a PM with any questions.
