That sucks man they finally went back to the forged internals with a starting point of 640hp (if im not mistaken) you coulda easily put a S/C or turbo and tune and be making 700+ What about changing the CPU for an older CPU that you can tune? Sry for all the questions btw.

The older PCMs don't have enough brain power to run the Gen 4 and 5 motors...the cam-in-cam variable valve timing wouldn't work, along with a whole host of other things (drive-by-wire throttle bodies, etc.). The only option is to run a stand-alone engine management system that can run anywhere from $10k-$20k, but you still have to retain the factory controller to handle the other functions like ABS, the body control module, etc. (everything is interconnected through a hybrid CAN/BUS system).

Anything is possible with enough money, it's just that most don't want to have to pay that much extra to gain access to being able to tune the PCM:

The engine on that one is untouched...just twin turbos + a Pectel engine management system.

Damn good numbers definitely cant wait for the ACR or ACR-X to come out again. Hopefully the SRT division will eventually have a CPU that people can tune I think it would help sell the car more even if its only a few more per year.
