Default Street Race: Turbo LS1 RX7 vs GT-R

Man. This RX-7 hooks. GT-R's are fast and everything, but there's no real replacement for raw power, light weight and sticky rubber. It looks like the GT-R jumped on the first race, but it's hard to tell. It's a street race so... It's not like they've got a tree here.

Bay area drivers SUCK this is like the third time this month Ive seen a shitty bay area video where one of the drivers jumps the gun and they still post the videos.. learn how to drive or keep your video camera in your pocket.

I think I can speak for any of these video pages when I say they are there to cover a race regardless of who jumps, breaks, chases, etc. I have seen this rule "chase is a race" being used nation wide, maybe in your area it is not used but in this case it was. Not being rude or going in on you just my two cents.

True, but in our area, to keep people from jumping all the time we have implemented the rule of going off a flag man and you jump, you lose your money. That is why we go off a light mostly because its harder to try to jump.

See above. One other thing we do is lay out the details before the race so there won't be no confusion after the race.

I fully agree with you on that bc I prefer flashlight over an arm drop any day but I only said that bc we don't know the rules and terms of this specific race. But yes flashlight is the way to go.

First race, GTR jumped, second race, FD jumped. Let's see what happens when both cars leave at the same time and some footage at the tail end of the race.

That race was at 3am with cold temps. The road they use a few hundred feet out isn't prepped like the starting line. Traction control would do wonders on that FD.

I agree they should use a flashlight vs. dropped a hand. Would be less confusion.

Even with the late jump and poor traction down the track RX-7 was going around the GT-R. Sweet cars, RX-7 is Beast

You honestly can't how bad either of them jumped because the flagger isn't in the video...

Sounds like a personal problem for them as far as traction. We have raced in 30 degree weather and hooked 900 hp cars on the street. Just gotta know how to do the prep according to the weather.

"Rules" for this particular video aside...the title is misleading. I was expecting an EVEN competition....with both cars leaving the line at the same time...to truly display which CAR (not driver) is quicker. Even so, looked like the RX7 "has it" in that department
