Default Vacation with the Firebird to NJ & FL

During the middle of April I took an 11 day vacation. I left the Charlotte,NC area and drove north to the Lake Hopatcong,NJ area. I then went south to sleep in Charlotte area and made my way to the beach in Sarasota,FL. Made my way as far south a Gasparilla island,FL. The round trip was 3,000 miles in 11 days.

Thank you for the 305 views and 32 days later no feedback. My photographer i'm sure would have liked feedback on his photos.

You took pictures of a every day trans am that doesn't seem to have anything that really stands out, what did you expect?

Feedback is what I had expected, yes exactly a 15 year old everyday car with factory paint that still has a good shine.

Looks good to me, those Stranos give it a nice stance. Did you have your bike in the car with you?

Being a new F-Body owner, I would be curious to ask how you rate a long distance road trip in the car. Did you fold your rear seat down to store luggage or just pack light?

Good looking car btw, you kept it clean!

Yeah the bike was with me the whole time, back seat folded down and the front of the bike towards the front of the car.

I rate it as being doable, I don't get out of the car sore so I am happy. It's a pony car with racing springs and nice Koni struts and shocks which help the ride quality. The rear seat had to be folded down I had my bicycle with me. For sure I have kept it cleaned with 167,000 miles.

It looks great for an original paint, 167k mile car!

I've taken a few long trips in mine, and it was great! Only trouble I ever had was a little unexpected snow in Montana, and damn road construction messing things up with gravel and/or fresh tar. Driveability wise though, it was great!

I have only owned mine for a few weeks now. I am still trying to find that comfortable driving position for longer trips... Coming from the 4x4 truck scene, I am used to a higher seat position with a lot of width.

Thumbs up

In the first few pics your glass in your car seems to be greenish, is that a photoshop trick or are you windows really tinted that way? Props on taking a 15 yr old car on a long journey, takes big ***** to make a trip like that in an older car

Something to do with the color in the photo from editing. Only the hatch has 20% tint all others are factory glass no tint.
