Best so far was a 13.2@106 before some recent additions. I "should" (I know people always say that) be well into the 12's now. We'll see in a week or so.

Nice kill! Ive been a fan of the SRT4's since they came out.

Question for you automatic guys....I thought having a looser converter KILLS top end? thats always the impression I've got seeing as how stock converter cars trap really good, but dont ET as well as high stalled cars.

LOL!! "VTEC, Oh **** that's fast!" Uh, since when is 0-60 in about 10 seconds fast?? That second video was just hilarious. Yeah, nice kill in the SRT-4. I'm not a fan of them, but they can damn sure be quick little cars, and it helps they are good ol' American Made.

Some of you guys sound like ricers with all of your excuses. The guy openly stated that he's well aware of the fact that many LS1s are capable of outrunning his car, yet you guys still post up trying to explain to him that your LS1 could beat his SRT4. Give credit where it's due, geez.

It's all good, of course some people are going to defend the car they own. You should see some of the guys over at srtforums.com

Yeah, except we are a religion and the highpriests haunt our hallowed halls (or at least the LS1 gods post on our site).

I picked up 3mph going from stock to a TCI3500. There's more to it than stall speed.

But I'm not going to hijack this thread w/ tech

Go do some reading in the auto trans forum. You'll find the info you're looking for there.

Your right. Look at my sigs. I am lucky to have both. The SRT-4 is the funnest car that i have owned. There are many LS1's that can smoke an SRT-4 but the SRT-4 can beat most of everthing else out there.

I don't mind them at all myself. I watched a few of them stomp some EVOs this past weekend. It was funny to listen to the EVO driver make excuses after he got used up by a car that he was talking serious **** about 15min earlier.

It's too bad your average SRT4 owner wasn't so silly. There were a few of them at the track talking like they were the baddest vehicles there. "I'll smoke a Firebird and smash Mustangs" one of them said. The best I saw one run was 12.9..

The problem is alot of these guys are coming from owning Hondas. So to them it does feel like the fastest car ever. Plus you look at the price and it's affordable to younger people, who tend to be ignorant. To be honest though, I've seen plenty of young idiots drive F-bodies (LT1's in particular) now that they can be had cheaply. Heck this guy is an example.

I'm only running 13.3 @ 107 to his 13.2 @ 106... So for sure, that's a Neon that would give me a good run.

i've seen those guys at srt-forums, they seem to have the Honda syndrome where math doesn't matter in the street.

i had to shatter some dreams, posted a 900RWHP dynosheet at 13 psi. game over.

free mods are minor modifications that don't cost $, but don't make a whole lot of a difference either.

good kill, run a modded one next.

It was modded, not heavily but it had a lid and a catback. I guess all LS1's come with a SLP lid and catback right?

Anyway, not here to argue with you. I'll be sure to run another LS1 for you guys. I can't gaurantee that the guy will be a jerk-off though.

For the guy that wanted to see some of my other videos...

http://www.bobpiesz.com/videos/04srt_vs_04mach1.wmv

I had the same mods as I did when I raced the LS1. The Mach-1 had 4.10 gears, Tri-ax shifter, and a Mac H pipe. His best time to date is 12.93@107. We went from a 40 roll instead of 30 because his 4.10 gears would have put him at 6800rpms in first. You can see he pulls a car length in fourth until he has to shift to fifth. I was able to stay in fourth a little longer and pulled it back, then we shut down. I think if we would have stayed in it he would have gained it back, who knows.

This is when I was bone stock. The Mustang is a friends 1990 LX 5.0 5MT. His mods include: underdrive pullies, h-pipe with no cats, Headers, 65mm tb, CAI, and 3:55 gears. You can see in video number one (30 roll) that he leaves early, the second video is from a 60 roll and we both leave at the same time.

www.bobpiesz.com/videos/04srt_vs_ttsupra.wmv

This is me getting my *** beat by a friends BPU Supra. We went from a 30 roll which puts me at 3k in second on the first run. Then he wanted to go from a 20 roll which puts me at 4k in first. I spun like a **** the second run then slammed into the rev limiter. It wouldnt have mattered though, he drug my ***. His mods: Downpipe (catless), catback, boost controller at 21psi, Race gas. I had the same mods as the LS1 and Mach1 race.

Can you tell I'm bored at work?

SRT-4s make great daily drivers. For the money you can't beat it. Nice kills.

Firehawks and SS' come with SLP stuff, and don't make more power . SLP isn't exactly well regarded for aftermarket.

but i must admit my judgement towards what's modded and not is a little off, after reading srtforums, a "HEAVILY modded z06 kill" story.

Those cars are faster than I thought. raced one once with the stage 1 upgrade i guess? I dont know much about it. All I know is i barely beat her...Maybe a car? This was when i only had cat-back and FIPK. And yes...I said SHE. Maybe its just where im from, but many girls dont race, and if they do...its a shitty car. From what I was told, she ran a 14.3. Everyone also must keep in mind im at 4900 feet and the track...well thats a different story. Not to say the best at least. Maybe i should make a trip to Bandimaire speedway sometime.
