I think SRT4 is a badars groccery getter, but nothing can replace my baby. That said I would absolutely love to drive one. I am sure I will get a chance one of these days. The bang for buck value at the moment is not beatable (brand new of course). Last thing that came close was my now defunct LS1 Z28!!!

Srt-4's can make serious horsepower, there's one here that puts 420 whp. Their problem is no traction especially on the street running ultra-low profile tires. That LS1 owner isn't too smart running a 5-speed turbo from a 60 roll with a stock converter. He should have run from a dead stop and it would have probably been more even.

So in comparison, my 2000 SS ran 13.5 @ 106 when it was bone stock. It also put down 303.5rwhp and 319rwtq bone stock. That guy should have fared a bit better, but alas, you showed up him.

The reason I ask about Piedmont is that I raced a black SRT-4 not too long ago. He had traction problems though. I was wondering if it was you.

Wasnt me, I've never ran at piedmont. I usually run at Fayetteville because it is a 1/4 mile.
I post on srtforums but my name over there is silverscooby. I joined a while back when I had my old wrx.

I just drove a SRT-4 an hour ago. It was a little bit impressive, have to let it rev to make it go, not the throw-back torque I am used to. The saleman had no clue on what it had except "I took it up to a hundred one time". It was windy too and I went to close the door, the wind blows and it slips and hit the mirror to a regular neon right next to it putting a big dent in the SRT door. Whoops. Little thing hauled some *** though. They were asking $24k for it that includes the standard $2.5k dealer markup.

Nice kill man, the reason the revs weren't up that much were because he has a 5 speed not a 6, sounded to me like my car would if it had an extra gear.
I need to set a local SRT-4 (STOCK)punk straight soon. This punk followed me through a parking garage, then out to the street, then tried to race me, and did a burnout.
I see him again at a local car get together (SONIC) and I find out he once ran from a race he lost big money on, and the guy is on the hunt for him. :haha:
Nice kill silver scooby, it is guys like you that make me think there is still hope for the sport compact market. Your attitude is right, and your plans for the car are right.
Congrats
