Yeah sounds great! I'll send him over right now. You guys can get together and wax your backs. Maybe even paint your nails.

Do you own an Integra?

So, I guess you're the import owner that all the ricers say we can race instead of racing them b/c their "clutch isn't clutching" or something along that line....

In all seriousness, that's a fast car. Kudos

Default Very Nice!

That bridge looked a lot like the Dames Point Bridge we have here in Jacksonville, Florida!

The GTI driver did a nice job. By the sound of his car, he has a lot of mods...didn't hear a Blow-out valve, though...unless he mod'd it properly and didn't go with the atmosphere config...in which case he did it up right!

Power-to-weight ratio, GTIs are huge competitors and very underestimated. I love owning the muscle car guys here in Jacksonville.

VWs are not to be confused with Asian made vehicles. We have a completely different outlook on speed. Ricers usually use Nitro to make up for their lack of HP. Euro cars are usually demodified by the manufacturer and we just deDEmodify them...and then throw on a few more parts for good measure.

Also, if some of you are from Jacksonville, I'll race you with my little VDub. I'm all about it.

Here's what I run:

If its any consolation, my first real car was a 1962 Chevy, Stingray. Chromed out engine and side-exhausts.

The Vdub scene is one of the coolest out there....it's like a family. Most of them are anti-rice just like we are. I loved my GTI but in order for it to be a competitor I would have needed to turbo by VR6...wasn't that commited.

VW makes a great car...hell I prefer it over a BMW (except the M5).

Some of the 1.8T's are heavy hitters and you should be careful from a mid-high speed roll. 300 hp more torque and 2900-3000 lbs. Those stg 3 guys love it.

I hope to see or hear of a run with one of the R32s. I know they have some some mods that will put them well over 500HP and still look slower than an SS. And since I work with aloot of VW owners i hope to race one.

I agree the VWs I usually see do not scream "RICE". They are some nice looking cars and some have some potential and are usually under estimated.

Also, back in the day, the VW beetle was a great car to mod whether you were at the track or the sand dunes.

The R32 is a turd until twin turbos get slapped on there. If I had 50g's to waste I would buy an R32 send to HPA motorsports in Canada and spend 20g's and have it be the Golfzilla...they have already surpassed these numbers in this old article. Would be fun for sure.

I don't think any of us have anything to worry about...R32's....but we already knew that.

I ran an R32 here in my neck of the woods the other day. I have a high 10 sec daily driver. I don't know his mods, but he would spank a lot of the vettes and F-bodies I know.

The R32's are really nice cars but not fast enough for the money imo.

I owned a wolfsberg for 4 days. On the 4th day, two coil packs shot craps. Dealer said it was fixed. Crapped out again on the way home from the service dept. Service department said "All Fixed"...again...this time, it sputtered to a halt AGAIN even before I got out of the parking lot. I started it up again, turned around, drive right past sevice, and back to sales, and got my money back.

Oh, and vDubber, where are you located?
