Camaro losing a t-top
Man, thats the worst ever. I had started to take on of mine off, then my cell phone rang. So i just got in my car and went down the road with it unlatched. I got going own the road and then I passed a semi on a 2 lane road, I had my windows down. The burst of wind ripped mine right off. The bad part was going to price a new one. From GM about $400.00.

Been there done that, i lost mine at about 135 miles an hour, right at the top end of the track, landed right in front of the other camaro in the other lane, luckily it didn't mess his car up, he did drive though the rubble, so who knows, scary though, felt like i was going to get sucked out of the car, worst feeling ever

nice grab by your wife! I lost one of mine at sears point here in CA. right after i had just had a new windshield put in because i raised my hood with my wipers up. I'm like crap, thats alota wind-noise, and then WHOOSH, straight up in the air. Announcer was all "be sure to check your hood pins", thinking it was a hood. Thank god it was ok somehow though, those things sound expensive!

I had my passenger side T-top fly off the day I bought my TA. The guy I got it from showed me they didn't leak, but failed to lock the latch when he put it back on, and it came off @ 80 mph on highway 99 and about hit the car behind me. Lucky for me I was already in the right lane, and it landed just to the right of the car behind me and grenaded, then flipped off the freeway... Replaced it with a new one off an 02 WS6 for $150 shipped.

I popped out my t-top shades when I was lightening the car to go to the track this spring. On the way up I noticed some extra wind noise, but didn't investigate. ll of the sudden my driver's top popped up, I reached up real fast and pulled it back down. I almost sh*t at that point! I was damn lucky!
