Yep. It was the last one they held about a year and a half ago. I was in the staging lanes and heard it when it happend, just heard alot of people yell and heard something go "thud". Later that day the guy borrowed a ttop and was the first stock cubed ls1 in the 9's I believe. Ohhh and if any slp people are reading this "Bring Back Slp Day".

Did the other car collect it on the front end... did he run it over... or did it just harmlessly land on the ground?

It landed on the ground far enough ahead that he was able to slow down and go around.

It was Jay Johnsons car. We talked to him later that day and he said it jsut wast latched down. After that he 9.86. I miss SLP days. Any one from Texas remeber the Tahoe from the year before that placed second in the burn out contest? That was me

I was there too. I didnt know that they stoped SLP day? I didnt get to see that happen but mine came loose on the freeway and i happened to catch it with my hand

A friend's t-top flew off and it cost him alot of cash.
