Jeep rescues an H2 Ok, now I have seen some stupid people get their trucks stuck in mud holes that they shouldnt have gotten stuck if they knew what they were doing.....BUT THIS IS REDICULOUS.

I'm sure a lot of people buy these things and expect the off road capability of the H1.
H2=big suv H1=purpose built with buttloads of ground clearance, and low center of gravity.

People buy them because they are trendy. There have to be hundreds of them in Orland Park. All driven by soccer moms who don't want to be soccer moms. And Loser guys you still couldn't get laid if they owned an exotic. They have no intention of driving them on a muddy street let alone off it.

i can't believe people actually get duped into buying the things....and then they think they're the **** in them.....
if i'm gonna drop 50K+ on a vehicle that's only gonna get driven on the street, never any off-road use, it will be a very high-performance sports car or some type, most likely a Z06 or C6.....and i'll still get better gas mileage....

Why didn't the guy just try 4LO? Nothing held my 2500HD back, when I was stuck in the worst **** with with one wheel in the air even 4LO always bailed me out. You would have to be bit of a Darwin winner to park on a tree stump.
GM truck frames sit way too low, a toyota tacoma frame is 12" higher.
If you wanna buy a 1/2 price hummer H2 buy a 6.0 motored Silverado 2500HD. Every driveline and powertrain componet is shared. I'm kinda glad its gone, 29mpg highway for the GTO.

I'm no fan of H2's but I'm real surprised they're getting slammed so hard here.
It must be a demographic thing with the whole yuppie crowd. I've seen maybe 10 here since they came out. Two of which were in the sand dunes here at Cape Cod. The others didn't really rub me the wrong way or anything.
The stock tires aren't for mudding or extreme rock crawling, but the trucks aren't setup for that. Look at what the Land Rovers come with, and look at their history.
H2's don't drink any more gas than some of these LQ4 trucks riding around.
Those Baja desert guys gut the things and race them nearly bone stock, aside from suspension mods to handle the huge hits, and of course safety mods.
Some people are car guys... some people are truck guys. I'd take an H2 over any Euro car out there.

that guy is just stupid for getting high centered on that. but the H2 is actually pretty badass off road. my friends parents have 2 of them. and they hunt and off road alot. the road to there house actually gets flooded when it rains bad and we have crossed it with water coming up on to the hood. they are the same frame as a 2500 suburban just more reinforcing through out it. and it has the same drive train as a 2500hd except for a lower reduction in the transfer case. and push button lockers front and rear. we have gone through some pretty rediculous **** in 4 low and both lockers engaged. and they will climb about anything they have the clearance to get over. and those tires are a 35" tall BFG A/T which have won some baja race thing like 5 years in a row. Probably one of the best A/T tires out there. so u guys should look into them a little more before bashing them. i do agree that too many soccer moms and city people drive them. and they are gass guzzlers like most big heavy v8 suv's.
