Kimbo got K.O.ed
Kimbo got K.O.ed Kimbo the guy from the backyard eye poping fight. Well he had a fight tonight with a mma fighter Gannon the cannon, and got knock out. It lasted about 10-15mins. Go to sherdog.com for more details. I'm getting more info as we right now.

Also, i dunno if Kimbo has actually like...for real trained....i could be wrong ya know but it's just a thought. And if he did train it was probabl in the month or 2 leading up to the fight.
Every picture i've seen of the man he's got a cigar and a drink in his hand lol.
And u put him up against a fighter whom trains on a regular basis and competes on a regular basis, chances are he won't hold up.
Kinda like putting the fastest person in your neighborhood up against a potential olympic runner...

The guy has skills when compared to a out of shape average Joe.When going up against a trained boxer that's in shape I knew he would get dropped real quick like.He's a good street fighter but put him in the ring with Lennox and it wouldn't last 2 minutes.

haha, umm.....have you hung out with professional fighters?........they party hard and often. ive met quite a bunch of them, and trust me, alot are drinkers.
however, they make up for it by training incredibly hard also, and im sure kimbo doesnt.
i think its pretty funny how all the internet "experts" who talked so much crap about how kimbo would kill this guy now have to deal with the fact that he got KTFO under his own rules he chose that favored his own style.
well basically gannon nearly destroyed Kimbo... choking him and what not.. till kimbos posse came in to help out.

lol i never said anything about kimbo winning and stuff. actually i barely post anymore because people feel the need to flame everything i say then troll it for the next week or so. (not accusing you of doing that, just mentioning it)

Lots of partying and little or no training (kimbo) vs. lots of partying and an insane amount of training (gannon).

I have yet to see the video, but here is my take on this whole thing. I trained in Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai for around three years or so. I wrestled/played baseball throughout highschool and 1 year of college, so I was in pretty good shape(6', 215 at my prime) and when I moved to FL I decided to get into some MMA events. Long story short, I was 4-2. I stopped because I learned that I can't really take a punch from someone that can THROW a punch. I really try to avoid being punched because of this (I'm now 7 years removed from that) and I can still fight pretty well if I take the fighter out of his game(striking). Kimbo is nothing but a striker, and that was shown. I want to see the video. And I need to learn how to fight standing up. I can kick like an evil demon, but jaw-shots take me right down. I know Kimbo can take those shots, but apparantly he couldn't take the ground. Then again, like I said I haven't seen the vid so I can't say.
