Default The power of the Ford Lightning...

...lol, here's a vid my brother took of me stepping on it from a stand still in my 03 Lightning, I took it to show the difference in elevation, I'm in Texas right now but live in Asheville NC (the mountains) and it won't do this up there. Enjoy.

The thing is, up in Asheville if I step on it from a stop it will only spin a little then hook up and go. Here in Texas it smokes all 4 gears which is kind of crazy compared to what I'm used to.

Got the same thing going on here in Albuquerque. I can't even break my stock 235s loose in any gear at any speed unless I swing the back around on a turn or dump the clutch. The thin air robs the torque.

I dont think it is the elevation, Maybe the road quality. There is a road here where I live where I can spin'em when I punch it at 60mph. And my car is mostly stock. Nice strip of rubber though.

Elevation plays a huge role. Think about it, a second lower in ET here comes from a solid loss in power and torque. I had my car down in Phoenix (about 3000-3500 lower elevation) two weeks ago and I could break the tires loose just by getting on it, and it worked on pretty much every road.
