Default 98 bolt on TA 12.29, 12.34 track runs

Here are 2 vids of my TA. Runs were made at SGMP in Cecil, Ga. Pulled a 1.68 60ft on the 12.34 run and a 1.71 on the 12.29. Watch the front tire on both runs...it will pick up and stop rollin for a sec! That was on nitto dr's Mods in the sig. Thanks to www.ls1sounds.com for hosting the vids!

Got to love that Yank out of the hole! Love that color too... Do not think I have ever sen that color on a T/A before.

Just FYI: WinXP does not like that filename. I had to rename it to get it to play...

Plays fine for me on Win XP Pro SP2 in both Quicktime and WMP.

I know a few guys here in town that pull tires on a regular basis with their 10 bolt, others have broke them on their first tire pulling run. Go figure.

Thanks for all the props guys! I was that is pulled the tire! This is on a 67k stock 10 bolt with 3.23's and nitto dr's. I have about 50 track passes on the o'l 10 bolt and it has lasted great (knock on wood)...it could blow out tomorrow, but it has done a great job and I can't complian. I know the car has some more left in it...It was 11.7 -11.9 AFR on the dyno. I'm playing around with hp tuners right now to dial it in. I know with some weight out and a better tune it will go low 12's high 11's.

Great runs with that weight. Track is awesome! There's a decent track down here where I run but it's nothing compared to that one. Looks awesome!

Ya the track is new...$4 million dollar track I heard..it has a 1/4, circle track and VIP boxes on top of the grandstands! If your ever in south ga you need to go...it hooks great! It is only an hour from my house and beats the local 1/8th mile I used to run at. Here is the website....http://www.sgmpracing.com/

Very nice runs! just curious, is it just me, or is your trap speed kinda low? cuz i've ran a 12.9 @ 108 and u did 12.3 @ 109 with your setup.

Those Nitto DR's help quite a bit huh

You have an m6...they trap about 4-5 mph higher usualy than a4's because they have less drivetrain loss. My mph is about right for the time and 60ft. look at some other a4 times on this site. Stock my car ran 13.58@103.4 2.10 60ft...so I have gained a good amount of mph with my mods.

I will have similar mods to yours by my next trip to the track, but I have a Vig 3200 vs. your Yank. I doubt I will have the LS6 intake though. Hopefully I can get my times into the low 12's also! What are you brake stalling your car up to before launching? 2,000 has netted a best 60 ft for me of 1.73 on a 275/40R17 Nitto DR.

2200 rpm brake stall has held the best 60ft for me...It's different with every converter...I tried 2500 rpm on the 12.29 run and it spun a lil...that is why it pulled a 1.71 instead of the 1.68 on the 12.34 run. I did lean the PE vs rpm out a lil with hp tuners and pulled the passengers seat (30lbs) on the 12.29...that is why the mph and time got a lil better. The ls6 intake is one of the best mods I did...before it I ran a best of 8.00@85 (about a 12.55@107 in the 1/4) at the local 8th. All I did was change to ls6 intake and 99+ knock sensors and got the times in my sig and on the videos!

Sweet runs. I have similar mods minus the intake and longtubes, but I hope I can pull the wheels like you. For some reason you have 2 major mods over me and you only run 2 tenths faster? Hmmm. Oh well.

His raceweight = 3600 lbs. What does your car weigh?
