of course this is based on whether or not it has the 5.4l because i remember a time when people would've bet their first born that the new z06 was comming with a 6.4l so we'll just have to see.
You ain't kidding. My 03 had a sticker of 35,470, NO WAY IN HELL is the 07 going to be less

See, this is what's F'd up about the whole thing. Great, 400+hp, 500+hp.....but the whole damn reason the RX-7, Supra, 300Z, Camaro, Firebird said bye bye was that not enough people could afford them, therefore there was no market.

The F-body's were the only cars in that group that were reasonably priced brand new. The Firehawks, SS, and WS-6's were pushing the limits of the people that would drive those types of car and could afford that price....AND...AND...would turn around and start tearing them apart.

Now you've got $75k Vettes, $45k Mustangs.....I hate to think what GM might decide to do to the sticker on a new F-bod. Bump the C6 past $50k and say, "Here, here's all you guys a brand new state of the art Z28 for a mere $40k!"

Even THAT doesn't sound right! I mean, what kind of hp could it possibly have that doesn't compete with the C6 AND not be so expensive as to not make people say, "Nah, I'll just get a GTO". This, of course, would completely negate the entire point of bringing back the Camaro or even worse for GM, have people jump ship over to Ford!

Then, if that's not enough, the initial costs of these vehicles throws the whole modding community on its head. You're not gonna see many parents going out and buying junior a new Mustang or Camaro any more. Single guys MIGHT be able to swing the payments, but nothing else. Married guys are just screwed. The income's probably there but how many guys have wives that are gonna let them start turning wrenches on that new $45k, $55k, $75k, car that they just HAD to have and it won't even haul the kids or the groceries.

Sure, there's SOME but not enough in my book to sustain any growth and then what.........no Hi-Po Mustang, no Hi-po Camaro, no Z-06?

Imports take over!

IMO...

$45K to me is perfectly reasonable for a blown 5.4L with a warranty as is a 500hp 7.0L Z06 at $70K.

nice looking car but for 45 grand I'd rather get a base 'vette. anything under 40k though and I'll be thinking of switching to the blue oval.

Its a helluva performance car for ~45K. But for me to spend that much on a car it needs to have a better fit/finish/interior than whats comes with an 05+ stang.

I saw this same info at stangnet a couple months ago as well. The price is highly suspect (as others have said), but all of the features look great..for 45k.

I am trying to get myself to like it, 'cause I can get one cheaper than anyone on here. I hated beer my first time I drank it, now I am the beer man. But so far, I am not making any progress.

03-04 Is the only decent looking Cobra that I'd consider.

Damn.

Would they really offer a choice of axles? That doesn't seem like something that would ever happen.
