89 Iroc vs 97?? Cobra

This is a few years old with crappy audio. Video quality is ok though. The Iroc had ported and polished corvette heads with stock valves, aftermarket intake, cam, tri-y headers, 3.42 gears with auto transmission. I think the cobra had bolt ons but I can't remember since it was 4 years ago. This was on the Crosstown in Tampa in route to Gandy Blvd. The Iroc ran real high 12's.

The camera man (my buddy) is the best part about the whole video...lol

lol awww damn, Gandy back before it was over run with fart cannons and drug pushers. last time i was down there about oh 4-5 months ago i was offered drugs more times than i saw races

Yep, mid to late 90's were the years. I look at tamparacing.com and a few other places and see "killer video" or whatever, so I waste my precious time downloading it to see a compilation of TOTAL RICERS. They sound like sh*t and run like sh*t. There are VERY FEW that actually run strong. I'm in the process of buying a 99 SS turbo stroker with 620hp. I can't wait until I get it next month so I can crush those little ricers who think that there 300hp turbo/nitrous vtec can beat this sleeper camaro SS. The good old days are long gone but I think I will be just as pleased by stomping a mudhole in those ricer's *sses and walking it dry.

My buddy went to work the other day and was talking to his co-worker about me getting this 1999 SS and how bad it was since this guy is also into racing. Of course he can't even get more than a few words out of his mouth before the other guy starts in with "man he doesn't know what kind of imports are out there. Man there are plenty out there that will destroy him". How many ricers have over 500hp that I'm gonna come across in Tampa? NOT VERY MANY and they are not going to be daily drivers if I do come across one. My buddy's twin turbo 91 mustang never got beat by anything for as long as we went out there and he might of had 550hp. I'm not saying that he coudln't be beat but that out of the dozens of racing we got into we never lost and that included motorcylces.
