Default 1000hp BMW M5 video

I know this has nothing to do with LS1s but I think it's wicked cool.

The videos kind of suck because it's just of the motor. This thing should be badass.

THAT is a labor of love. Im still trying to wrap my brain around how the intake manifold works.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. The only thing I can think of is that the 8 trumpets are blocked off and they were just left for looks.

One other thing, the V2 series vortech superchargers are rated no where near 1000hp output.

An M5 has 8 individual throttle bodies inside the intake manifold. I'd imagine they are still. Where else would they go?

It does look bulged up a little in the middle though, maybe it's just the light.

I'm just thinking the little intake trumpets for the throttle bodies have to be closed off. If they weren't boost would go flying outta them when you hit the throttle.

the air enters via the two inlet tubes, into that custom intercooler built into the lifter valley, then into the giant plenum area which is sealed with the cool lid, then its sucked into the trumpets.

their throttlebodies are in the trumpets, not mounted up front where ours is.

Well, I just took a better look at the picture again with the carbon cover on and see that it has clear plexiglass sealing the trumpets up. I didn't see that at first and was thinking they were open to the engine bay before. Now you can understand why I was so confused. The rest of the plumbing I understood.
