Even a blank can kill you at close range. Most people think that a blank is nothing physical leaving the chamber. A blank actually is a projectile that disintegrates after exiting the barrel. However, if you are hit with one close enough, it can kill you.
This cop is just a jackass for not checking properly - especially in front of kids. Nice way to teach them gun safety. Just shoot yourself.
