This cop is a criminal..period He is playing judge and jury, he's taking himself way too seriously, and should be removed from his job. We had a cop in bellview ne doing things similar. He shot at a boy after he fled in a chase,
"when he was stopped he got out and ran, he was shot at and if im not mistaken grazed" it was some trivial thing he did i cant remember what. After that i and my neighbors would not allow our kids to cruise there any time. Now he's a funeral escort driver, and of course they did not do much to make and example of him. The boy in the video was a criminal, and maybe very dangerous, but the cop lowered himself to his level and became a dangerous criminal and probably had been for a long time already, considering it was in plain view. Any one who is on his side is of a similar mentality. We have judges, and also the people have a say in matters like this, but in groups called jurys, not single, bias, unbalanced people. They train to subdue, handcuff, fight if they have to, and shoot, but only if warranted and legal.
When a cop breaks the law he becomes a jimmy swaggart

The officer may have been doing his job, but the manner in which he did it, in my opinion, was not justified.

You wouldn't expect a surgeon to make a two inch incision when a one inch cut would suffice. Similarly, an officer need not run someone over when an alternative method of apprehension could be utilized.

The news report cited an officer who said the truck slid, thus causing him to strike the felon. After watching the video several times, though, it appears there is dust behind the truck just as it enters the screen, and the visible tires are never irrotational as to suggest the truck is sliding.

I'm not taking the side of the criminal, nor am I claiming to know all of the details surrounding the incident. Based on what I am able to see and know about the situation, though, I certainly hope the officer, if applicable, isn't immune to the law simply because he is paid to enforce it.

If that were me as the cop...I would of just said, "Don't run in front of my tires while I am moving and you won't get run over"

Police don't have a sense of humor...or much sense at all sometimes.

I believe 90% of LS1Tech is thankful that the police force exists. On the same note, they despise them for what they do...or more significantly, how they act.

Listen to all of you guys immediately taking the side of the CRIMINAL. Do you think the cops would have picked him at random to chase and accidentally hit. No, it doesn't work like that. If the guy wasn't out commiting felonies then he wouldn't be in this situation. Period, end of story.
This kind of criminal sympathy is one of the main reasons this country is getting worse and worse. We now live in a society that believes in giving the criminal more rights than the law abiding citizen. You people are prime examples. How many said something about a law suit? What a load of **** that is. Do you think the lady who is the victim in this whole thing will get anything for her troubles? Hell no, she'll get her purse with a broken strap back and maybe some if she's lucky some ******* will tell her that she should be more careful and not to bait criminals anymore by carrying her purse to the store.
Let's face it, by playing games and being soft with criminals we are setting a bad example. If this situation happened in Germany the police would have beat his *** and nothing would be said except, it's good they caught that guy. They don't put up with any **** over there. Guess what. Germany has a very low crime rate. This must be a big coincidence. It can't have anything to do with treating criminals like criminals.
If anyone wants sympathy from me over some **** this felon did, I tell you this, sympathy is found in the dictionary between **** and syphilis. There's your sympathy.

I agree with Do0d. **** that guy. He just committed strong arm robbery and who knows what in the process of getting away.

I saw an epoisode of cops where a guy robbed a walmart and then wrecked into two different cars trying to get away and then wiped himself out into a third car.

The cop put the cuffs on so tight that he was grunting. Of course I laughed at first, but then I thought that I could not be professional as he was after seeing what he just saw. I would have stomped his ******* guts out. What if that was my kid in any of those three cars?

Watch out Red Shift. Here come all the people to lynch you because you mentioned police chase. Don't you know the police shouldn't chase criminals. We should just let them all go and ignore the problem and it will all go away.

The place for correction is in court, and jail or worse for the right crime, and justly so. Capital punishment for capital crime, but its not the place of some single idiot with an agenda and plan, separate from the law, that he is supposed to uphold. He is supposed to stand for and uphold the law, no more.
He went outside his parameters, he is ****...

Only the cop know's if he ran him over intentionally or not.I hate criminals and I'm not a big fan of cops that overstep their boundaries.

I know where I live cops can kill people for just about anything and they don't get in any trouble at all. It's a tough job,and they always seem to get the benefit of the doubt.

What that cop did isn't as bad IMO as cop's that lie and give bullshit ticket,or fabricate evidence to put people in jail.It could have really been an accident.

It makes you wonder if that is the next step. No chases.

If every criminal started shooting judges, like the recent case, would they stop having trials?

Why don't we get rid of air so the bad guys stop breathing? That sounds like California getting rid of a safer Z rated tire to stop speeding.

They never do a ******* thing anyways. I had a guy pull a gun on me in front of my house 01/01/2005. I had 3 small children and a pregnant wife in the house, so I get my 45 and unload on his truck. So, I guess I was suppose to wait 1 hour for the cops to show up. The minute they get there they try to take me to jail. The didn't even care about the other guy, I gave them plate numbers and a complete description. They did not even write it down. This one stupid cop tells me I obviously was not too scared or I would have gone in the house, Which I replied, He had a gun. He then says that is why god made locks and I laughed at him and said god did not make locks man did and they don't stop bullets. He then told me not to be a smartass and I told him not to make stupid statements. Well they tell me to call them If he comes back and we will be right back. At 2:00 am they showed up 3 car loads. I call 911 ( doing things the right way ) and they never showed back up, so I handled it. My grand mother was the first lady deputy sheriff in the state of Texas and two of my uncles are cops and both of my uncles are punk *** pieces of ****. Cops are nothing more than organized crime, legalized by the powers that be.
