I have the non ball bearing version of that turbo. the sc61 its not even ONE of the biggest t3 turbos out there, I am assuming the guy wants to go to a 67mm turbine at least. but everyone seems to be rocking the new pt71 GTQ which is a t4 turbo, anyway point is, a gt35 is not a "big" turbo.

turbo will produce more average torque. end of story. That's why you need a nice head cam setup and a 200 shot Direct port to take care of a car that is that sick.

Look at turbocharged powerbands vs centrifigal supercharger powerbands and there your answer lies. Al Friedman's EVO with a the same turbo and stroker averaged 603AWHP from 5900rpm-8000rpm's peaking at 655AWHP.
Most Centrigal powerbands are much steeper in there delivery being boost/rpm dependent. It was a very close race none the less and the EVO was maxed out 8000rpm in 5th gear while as the Z06 could have kept going.
Go to T04R.com and look at dyno plots of many turobcharged vehicles there power delivery in the upper rpm ranges crush superchargers.

when are they going to find some turbo LSx's to race. turbos are spanking the prochargers in the torque department. Or we need do get kenne bell to hurry up with LSx models. it's a little frustrating to see a 2.3 "stroker" dominating the highways.
in any case that evo is INSANE!!

Always awsome to see that evo, Anyone remember mechams vids with that supra, cars of that caliber I think would take it, awsome run with the vette, the 1st gen was camaro was sweet, that evo needs slap on some stickies and hit the track wonder how he would do in the 1/4.
