my favorites are as most people have already said, late 4th gens and late 2nd gens. i bought my 98 back last december because i wanted something with good power and good gas mileage as well as a decient ride. my brother-in-law just bought me my 80 2 weeks ago so i haven't had much time to work on it but i'll put up some pics of it anyways.

For me its a toss up between a 69 or a 70. I really like both body styles. My dad has had a few of both years and I enjoyed driving them all without having to pay for them. The 70 Z with the stock LT-1, solid lifters, 4-speed, and the 3:73 rear was probably the most fun of all just to take out and run it hard. It really felt like the front tires would jump off the ground in every gear if you werent smokin the rears ha ha ha.

It is a tough question because I like most Camaros
The first Gen is so sexy
But the 4th Gen is the best I think. Good style. Good power. good gas mileage
The only thing is that I don't know about the 3rd Gen. They could have done more with the styling, but I would give it a second thought to buy one for a good price.

Before my 98 I had a 72 that I did pro-touring style. I had it painted hugger orange whith black stripes and put a goodmark cowl hood and low rise spoiler. I liked it alot but had to sell it to get my 98. I'll have my cousin GMC5.3 post pics for me because I dont know how.

you could say that i am a little bit biased, but the 2nd gen is my favorite. but that could also be why i race 1. nothing beats a glide and a 632" BBC to hit the 7's

not to **** anybody off or bag on their cars or anythingbut it seems to me that after 73 -74 they stopped making real beefy cars. it seems like the started cheesing up the cars a little bit as far as the second gens go. i like 67-68 and the early second gens. i have a 1970 firebird 400 m 21 under restoration now. if i was not so technologically innept i would post a pic or two. there is something about an iroc style convertible though that looks so bad ***.
