Default Some Pictures (Non car related) (56K)

I went camping with my family this weekend as we do every 4th of July. We've been going to Cherrystone which is on the Eastern Shore. Here are some pics I managed to get this weekend. I think there are 19.

Enjoy.

This was my first try at fireworks. It wasn't easy because they weren't shooting them off consistantly I had to use manual focus and a lens that didn't work well for them. Oh well some of them turned out ok.

Here's a 30 second exposure of the sky pre-fireworks.

Excellent work, man. Each of your sets seem to noticeably improve over the last, and I really like your eye for tasteful and intriguing composition.

What kind of camera are you using?

Thanks a lot man. The rewarding part is people that look at them and appreciate them. I know that sounds corny, but I also like giving presents on holidays more than I like receiving haha. I'm shooting with a Canon 300D (Digital Rebel)

Thanks everyone!

It kept my mind off my damn exhaust for a weekend.

as all have said, well thought out pics. also is there magnesium (or something like that) in that grille or was it chopped?

Brad

EDIT: The one with the boat moored up is particularly peaceful.

Your work is really improving and as always, amazing. I am always wondering when you are going to have a new thread up.

I've had my D70 out for the past two weeks learning all the features. Let me load one of my latest up and see what ya think.

BTW, I think I am going to change your use title to Canon 300D since everyone always asks what kind of camera that is

My mom just finished cleaning it off with a copper brush right before I lit it up, so it was the copper burning off.

Thank you very much. The D70 is no slouch. That is an awesome camera and I've seen great pictures come from that. The thought crossed my mind to buy one before I bought my 300D, but I've had 3 Canon's before this one, so I felt more comfortable with a Canon and it's controls.

Ya, you have to go with what works best for you, and that 300D is working out quite well

You should check out www.dpreview.com and look at the 300d forums. I am always nosing around in the d70 forums

I've been using dpreview sometime now to check out digital cameras. I'm also a member of the Canon Forums

Ritz those pictures are excellent. Great job and keep it up.

I was wondering if you can make some of the fire pics a desktop size?

Sure. Tell me your email address and I'll send them to you in a little bit. I gotta run out right now. I would try and host them and post them here, but I think my host would resize them automatically since they're so big.

For those that are into photography or maybe some of you that aren't so much can notice the noise in my first picture from where I photoshopped it.

I just ran it through a noise reduction program. Much cleaner.
