Sounds nice. How much extra weight did you put into the car by going with an iron block?

Its about 85 pounds over the LS1 block.

That's a lot. From a balance perspective at least. I need to find out what an LS2 weighs. I remember seeing that the LS7 weighs about 90-someodd lbs less than an LS1. They are only nose heavy by a couple hundred pounds, so pulling nearly a hundred off with the engine would go a long way toward 50/50.

Yeah it was alot of weight but I I wasnt worried about it as I was going to more than make up for it with HP.

I would have to see that to believe it.
I will say adding an iron block engine to my car felt no different to me than it did stock. (Except for the power increase.)

Mine really didnt "feel" any different either. Funny thing is I have my front sway bar out and it seems to hold the body down better when in turns but still stretches the suspension out really good on launches.
