Depends on who's in the drivers seat as well. My buddy in a close to stock GT beat my buddy with an '03 Cobra and BBK CAI. Now obviously the kid in the '03 can't drive, but the GT "hangs" with me.

With a 90 shot he ran a 12.8 @ 105, so I'll have to agree that they move with a power adders. Not to say that they don't without them...

Like Unit said, it can go either way. I've seen some that are dogs, and others that move quite nicely, like my buddies. Stock for stock I'd put money an LS1 car before the Mach 1, but it probably IS a drivers race.


BTW, that Notch is NASTY. I wish someone could throw up some more pics of the car.

Nice surprise? I do know Mach 1's and already raced one. Unfortunately for the Mach 1, my car wasn't stock anymore when the owner decided to ask me for a race. Shut it down 3/4 track because he was so far behind. I would say he got a little surprise himself.

Then try racing a modified Mach 1. Maybe something like this? I'm guessing 750rwhp is a little too much for your 11 second car...

It's always entertaining to see how people like you can turn a simple coment into a big deal, now your getting into highly modified cars when I simply mentioned N/A 4.6's. You've gotta understand that where I live the average DA is 7,000 or more during summer, the 4.6's I've seen don't like this altitude and run high 14's to low 15's at the track. On the other hand, a stock LS1 averages high 13's to low 14's at this altitude.

Big difference if I would take my low 11 second car to your 500-600ft. altitude, you would cry if you brought your car out here just to see it run a full second slower.

Thanks for those pics Unit. That's a super clean install, I have to say I've never seen anything like it.

Makes me want to go out and buy a Notch roller.

I loved the turbo mod motor notch. That was waaay cool.

I've settled the LS1 vs Mod Motor argument at my house. I have one of each, LOL.

KB Cobras run 14's? Ok, so I'll bring 500rwhp instead of 600rwhp on blower...then I'll spray it. No need for head gaskets on these motors.

Slow down and read a little slower, did I mention anything about KB Cobras running 14's? Stock Cobras are running those times here. As for your 500rwhp at this altiitude? Remember that's ford horsepower, which is equal to 400 LS1 horses. Just like I deduct hp for altitude, I also deduct 100hp when I hear a mustang dude give me numbers, cuz it's usually bull

My "Ford" horsepower went 11.29 with only 460rwhp @ 3,850lbs. Not too shabby for a Ford.

I can see this car is indeed powerful adn fast but it has got to be the biggest dog before the boost. Watch the throttle body cable in the video. There is a LONG wait for power. I was thinkin maybe i saw it wrong but sure enough here it comes WAY later. I know turbos have lag. I experience it daily. But i can say the car still makes over 300 HP off the turbo adn will accelerate under its own power with out the turbo. Which seems to be the issue with this car.
I am sure that it takes a hell of a car to hang with the car in question, and that most of us here would get whooped by him, with him on half his engine. But REALLY, do ya have to say **** like that? You may not see it as insulting but it is man. Its a drag car. Where as most of us a close to stockers or weekend warriors. I know you could care less, but please act like the Chevy guy you say you are. Sell that ****** cobra already and get the vette so you can stop teh hate.
