Let me see if I can help you with that first pic.

Pretty sweet looking, but don't the black door handles bother anyone on the TA and camaro? They always did for me.

This pic is different. The glare is minimal and I can reduce it, but the light reflecting of the car has to stay. If I darken the rear then the front will be too dark. About the best I can do is this.

I decided to take another pass at it and richened up the background and sharpened it a little. Made the grass a little greener, too.

There are a LOT of teens that wreck F-bodies. They're just a poor choice for a beginner car. I hope you drive it like an old lady so you don't get hurt.

The only thing worse is the parents that get their kid a new vette. Quite a few kids here have wrecked those as well.

The V6 cars are much more suitable, but I'm guessing that is the V8 car. Good luck to you and drive carefully. Hopefully we won't hear back that you wrecked it or worse.

PS, if you have traction control, always keep it on.
Oh yea, never buy cheap tires either, get the more expensive good ones. Cheap 245's are a death trap.

It would be nice if young kids would be careful, but who are we kidding. It only takes one burnout or something to put it in the ditch or get someone hurt. I'm of the opinion that a beginner should be concentrating on the road and not the car. The V8 cars can be a handful, especially on skinny tires.

Even if your a good driver and always stay cautious, it's probably likely that one of his friends will pressure him into doing something like a burnout or some other dumb stuff and he'll say, OK, just this once and next thing you know something bad happens. It happens all the time.

For some families the first cars always get totalled. That's why the folks get them beater cars that don't cost much, so when it gets totalled it's no big loss. The drivers learn from their mistakes and hopefully become better drivers. Then they move on to a nicer car. That's just the way it is.

I personally would never get my kid a fast or powerful car as their first. I'd get them something like a 90's caprice or some other big old car. It helps curb the temptation to race or do crazy stuff in.

I don't think F Bodies are a bad choice for a 1st car, but the V8 version absolutely is.
My first 2 cars were awesome but were very big and not as quick as an LS1...1957 Chevy Bel Air and a 1969 Caddy Convertable. Then I got my first Firebird (V-6), then I totalled it (not my fault) then I got an RS Camaro which was from the same model year and the same color.

Just be sure you really learn to drive that thing and don't get suckered into doing anything stupid in it like street racing. We all get tried at lights quite often. As far as I am concerned, most of us have some of the fastest cars on the road. Nothing to prove. If you wanna run it...find a track. Just be careful.

I also meant the V8 cars. The V6's are fine. They look good and are peppy, but keep you out of trouble.

I also want to make a few recommendations. I already mentioned how cheap tires can be a death trap, that's for sure. Good tires will keep you straight and not sideways.
It's well worth it to upgrade the brake pads as well. The stock ones suck big time. Hawk HPS or Carbotech Panther Plus (what I run) are much better than the stock junk and can really slow the car down quick. It's an excellent safety upgrade.

Jhatler, if you can afford those yourself, then do that. You'll thank me later. If you can't, then talk the folks into getting them. Don't skimp on the tires and brakes.
