Another night photo shoot......need advice...

ISO 100, no flash, F5.2 (Aperature) I had the shutter speed on three settings; 2, 1.6, 1.3. I had the camera in shutter priority.
Why am I not getting the resolution that others have? That sharp color, I see in a LOT of other photos.
Here's a couple more photos I was playing around with.

I know, I need a tri-pod. I set the camera on a CD book. An di deleted the blurry pictures from the bracketed group.
Sorry for posting so much lately, but I have a lot of questions. Thanx again.

I can tell becuase the road in front of you is crystal clear while your Camaro is slightly blurry. Also, set your white balance to something cooler, it seems to have a bit too much orange. Try to give it more of a "white light" look.
Just change your aperture and you should be fine and white balnce should make it even better. Having Adobe Photoshop helps a lot too.
Also, are you using a tripod, that helps A LOT in night photos.
One last thing what camera are you using?
I also FINALLY found a free hosting site!!
EDIT- Can I zoom in somewhat, do a manual focus and then zoom back out? The spot that I focused on should still be in, right? I would thin that would sharpen the subject.
OH! In pics one and two, notice the road junction number sign in the left center...

Brad
edit: and that other car coming out of the gas station in #4 is spooky
