Bugatti W-16 Veyron Technically the new, fastest production car.
0 - 60 2.9 seconds
0 - 100 6.0 seconds
0 - 150 11 seconds
0 - 200 22 seconds
1/4 mile 10.8 @ 140mph
Top-speed (at governor) 253mph (at which it gets 3mpg lol)

Other neat features: 4WD, 488c.i. 64-valve W-16 [aluminum block and heads] engine with quad turbos 1001hp (SAE net)
(realistically producing 1020 - 1040hp says a Bugatti tech.)

922lb-ft of torque (developed between 2200 - 5500 rpm with a 9.3:1 compression ratio)

That's all ^ stuff from Car & Driver Magazine, November issue (volume 51, number 5) If you want to read more on it, the article is rather interesting. There's a lot more to that car than i originally thought.

Or, do it the easy way and go to this here for the full article: Bugatti Veyron Car&Driver article

I knew about the turbos and HP, but 10.8 out of a luxury land yacht? I quit.

Doesn't quite add up. I suspect the ET will be a tad lower and the trap speed higher.

That's for someone who has unlimited funds. They can afford to have like dozens of TT vettes and fbodys. Its for those who want to impress there fellow club members, etc.

A nearly 500 CI engine, 4 turbo's(and plumbing) and AWD contributes alot of that weight...all well worth it.

You sir are

Awesome car, a worthy competitor to the Mclaren F1 and Ferrari Enzo.
