Default Finally got to teh track

Well it was my first time on a track with FI so I guess i should be happy but i aint. It has ALOT left in it. Even exactly as it sits. I dont have a scanner or anything so ill jsut type it all out.

left lane him.....Right lane me
RT .056.................128
60' 1.672...............2.038
330 4.944...............5.357
1/8 7.725...............7.799
MPH 88.03...............103.25
1000 10.157..............9.805
1/4 12.250..............11.590
MPH 107.03..............122.18
Edit: sorry bout all teh periods. IT wouldnt let me space the 2 columns out.

As ya can see i had him by 15 mph in teh 1/8 adn the 1/4. This is cause i needed to go into 5th and my 5th synchro si screwed so i wasent able to get it in at all. U can see in teh vid where i tap the brakes when i miss the shift. Its right before the concrete wall next to eth car gets taller. On the way home i used hptuners to see how fast i can go in 4th adn i do 132 at 6700 adn that is where i tried to shift into 5th. So this sunday hopefully ill get it into the 10's before winter. Thanks

Nope i missed 5th. I have 3.73 gears in the car. 4th takes me to 132. And that wasent nearly enough. U can see in teh vid when i tap the brakes that is where i miss 5th. Oh well. Back at it this weekend. Thanks

what rpm do you shift at? shifting into 5th will defiantely hurt your times and mph. id regear that car so your at the top of 4th at the end of the 1/4. id try 3:42s.

so you mean your were in 4th doing 132mph, then went to shift into 5th and missed the gear?

I shift at 6k for all gears but 4th as i was hopin to get across theline in 4th. I definatly wanan get away from 5th. The reason i have 3.73 is that when i do get clicks ill get 28"ers and be right where i wanna be as far as rpm goes.
And yes i went all kept in 4th till 6700 and then shifted adn it didnt let me in 5th. I didnt end up gettin in 5th. Sux 4 me!

103mph is solid in the 1/8th. I pick up 30mph on the big end (no nitrous). I'm curious
where you'd be at if you nail all the gears.

try double clutching

4th -> clutch to neutral -> clutch again to go into 5th.

may take a little longer, but it will let you into 5th.

if you were to do a double clutch up shift, it would be clutch in, shifter to neutral, clutch out, clutch back in shifter in 5th, clutch out.

that would take way too long, and the rpms would fall fast from shifting to 5 gear from 4thgear at redline.
double clutching is for downshifting and involes a "blip"...hence you dont lose anytime because you are on the brakes while your shifting.

i had this prob shifting from 3rd to 4th and the tranny would lock. I was told i just needed a new clutch to handle the power.

What size tires u have on there? I have 315/35/17. Im pretty sure they are 25.7" tall. I got my speed from hptuners. I revved it up to 6700 on the highway and it told me that the fastest i went was 132. The speedo said higher but i trust the ECU. Can anyone tell me if im worng about the height of my tire? Are they 25.7? Thanks
