and as far as the viper reaching full boost by 2800 rpm. i don't doubt it..but they are building boost 3 more times during the run. u can tell just by listening to it. it just doesn't take near as long as a supra would.

Any manual gearbox still requires a clutch.
That doesnt mean you still use it when shifting. Like motorbike gearboxes, which are also dog engagement, you do not need to use the clutch when shifting up gears. You do use it when shifting down though.
