Ditto, Mustangs aren't as slow as most people try and make them out to be.
Like I said, my buddy runs 13.8/9s with a bolt on '00 GT and DRs.

I know the stang is a fast car. The "reason I bet him, is because he has a auto and I have a 5 speed. I always get better starts then him. I will admit he will beat me in top end. But most all the races we have done are from stop light to stop light in the town of Greece. Most of our races shut down at around 70mph which my car beats him to.

im not to familiar with the 300ZX's but i know that they are very simmilar to 3000GT performance they are 222horsepower also, the 3KGT N/A runs stock mid-low 15'S completely stock. i wuld think the 300zx NA shuld do roughly the same....
as for the 300ZX beating the mustan i dont find it hard to belve. the mustang has 265horsepower motor and the Z has a 222. the 300zx has a manual wich does wonders and what weight is conserned the cars weigh about the same.
tuning a TT motor is easyer and cheaper than doing it to a LS1 if you are not looking for huge gains

Nice car! Really like it. The fact that he has an automatic should help him I would think considering AT's are faster in a straight line. My bro has a 90 TT and after doing all bolt ons to that it really starts to get expensive. In my opinion you would get more power for less money out of a LS1 than your Z or even mine.

I have priced them both out. The TT is a lot cheaper. For me to put an LS in it I would have to have new mounts fabricated for the engineand a custom exhaust. A TT just drop it in get new clutch plates. Building isnt that much either. I can get a TT for 1200 and the 800+ hp package for less then 10,000 dollars from Z1 Motorsports. Considering all this the TT is far easier to swap. And like I said before I get better starts then my cousin. The cars are close, but like I said our races hit 70 or less. I know you hit faster mph in the quarter then 70. He has more top end I have already said that.
