Default Pics of our Dyno Room *School of Automotive Machinists* ((56K go HOME))

Our new Dyno Room.. We just finished tiling it, painting, etc.

Specs of the room:

Here are some pictures of our newly revised dyno room. We had installed a brand new Superflow 902 engine dyno with X-Cart, replacing our older Superflow 901 dyno. We are still in the process of finding cabinets to store our extra parts in, but here are a couple of pics to give you an idea about what we are working with here at SAM. With Pressurized Fans mounted on the roof (spec'ed out to what Superflow Recommended) to pull air through the room keeping the exhaust completely out for a more stabile dynoing enviorment. This in turn Keeps the numbers more accurate and stable without the room atmosphere getting disturbed from the heat and exhaust gasses. Nothing like Ilmor or a Nextel cup Dyno room, but VERY nice

Info on the motor:

The motor made 851 hp at 9,100 rpms (395 inch ford windsor, naturally aspirated with a Ported Victor Sr. Intake and 4150 Holley. Restricted to use those for the NMRA series) It is in our hotstreet 1995 cobra. This motor has seen 860 fwhp before... I will try and get a graph up if I am allowed.

Pics of the Cobra:

It will be sporting a new Paint job for the 2006 season but here is what it used to look like....

Car has seen 8.90's at 151 mph. We have won quite a few events and the World Ford Challenge with it just being our FIRST year in the class.

And finally, for you people who do not know what we are known for in the ls1 world... I would hope this picture of just ONE of our LSX powered cars jogs your memory.

DYNO VIDEO!!!

And Finally a quick shot of the Head Shop upstairs!

If you guys would like more info on what we do here at the School of Automotive Machinists, definately send me a PM or give us a call. (Our number is [713]-683-3817) I will always give updates of our school and our projects as well on tech. Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

I still need heads to come in on top of a manifold and dry sump system.

We have 10 races just for the NMRA series on top of some NMCA races as well. It will be getting there but car goes up to BBR and Texas Motorsports Next weekend.

There are quite a few options. Everything from Grants to Stafford Loans can be used. We even option FASFA as well for Federal Aid. Give us a call and you can talk with myself or Lydia, our financial aid officer in house can REALLY help you out and answer all of your questions. Definately give us a call. We can do anything to make your experience as nice as possible.

Regards
Gray
