it will de-value it if you mod it....keep all m your orig parts that way you'll get the premium for it if you ever get rid of it...or take it to barrett jackson

in second thoughts i'm with you
in America people value the T/A... but here in Kuwait the T/A is a shitty car to most people... because here in Kuwait Porche Turbo and cayyene are like hondas and trailblazers in the us

I understand the whole de-value thing but I am so atached to the car that I can't see ever getting rid of it anyways. To me the faster it is the more fun I will have with it and the car was purchased for fun it was not bought as an investment. It has just over 50,000 miles on it now and has never seen snow or ice but is no where near a perfect show car, it has its little nics and scratches on it just like every other car that gets driven and enjoyed.

My thoughts if I did mod it would be full bolt-ons, full suspension, clutch, drive shaft, 12 bolt, and sticky tires. I'm kinda thinking I would like to try the stock internals thing for now and see how fast I can make it but I WILL NOT BE CUTTING IT UP OR DOING WEIGHT REDUCTION OTHER THAN SUSPENSION PARTS.

then you have no worries....just make sure everything can be bolted back into place...sounds like a hell of plan you got there for it!!

It starts like this, first you see a video. And you think wow that sounds nice, so you buy an intake and exhaust. Then you tell yourself i'll just buy a small cam. Turns out you buy something with a 23x/23x duration with a 112 LSA. And instead of stopping there you order some heads, and spend money on an LSX 90 manifold and NW TB. All you really need is that small beginning whether its a lid or a K&N filter, and the modding from then on will never stop.

From onc Collector's owner to another, let me share some insight.

Cars are horrible investments. Ours are no different...yes, in 20+ years, they may finally attain some significant value, but do you really want your car sitting in the garage, undriven and neglected for that long? With 50k miles on the clock, you obviously bought your car to be driven. People who collect cars typically value very low mileage ones...based on what people look for in older cars, 60k miles is usually the max they'll accept for a collector's vehicle. You're already almost at that point in a matter of 4 years.

The reason I say all this is becuase when I first got the CE, it became the bubble car...hardly ever left the garage, especially if there was even the slightest hint of a raincloud in the sky. After the accident I was involved in, I came to realize, that it is just a car after all, made to be driven and put smiles on your face with every push of the gas pedal. Although it's currently not my daily driver, it was for several months, and it was a blast.

It was stock up until only recently....I have headers sitting in the garage, getting true duals fabbed up, and hope to have my heads and cam setup by this summer. I'm gonna put the stock wheels away in favor of some black 18s, lowering it, and installing a kickin' stereo. My reasoning for finally modding it? I figured, I'm never gonna sell it, and the only reason people typically keep it stock is for resale value, so what's the point?

It's your car, do with it what makes you happy. Mod it, customize it to your liking...yes, it's a rare car, but it's just like the other 2389 CEs out there... but when you're done with it, it's gonna be your rare car.

-Chris

Well today a bunch of friends and I kinda decided we want to go on the Power Tour so I need to save some cash up for that so the plan is to drive it on the Power Tour as a bone stock car and the mods will begin after that. Might get a clutch before the Power Tour but i think that will be it.
