Default compressing video files...how dammit

I took about a 1:30 second video clip with my Sony digital camera, the friggin thing was 37mb. I compressed it to a zip but its still like 26mb.

WTF? I have other videos that are just as long but only 700 KB.

a 700 kb 1:30 video is going to have shitty quality.

It doesn't compress that much in a zip file because it's already encoded wih a video compressor, otherwise it would be a lot more than 37 mb.

The best way to reduce the size would be to change the settings on the video compressor to reduce the data rate some more.

I have a video saved on my hard drive that is crystal clear, that is just like that. Its actually 666 KB.

Really, the easiest way if you're not to computer savvy is to use windows movie maker. Import the video and then when you save it, cut down the resolution on it.
