Default Turbos are for pulling...

Since I pull my boat, figured the turbo would give me a little bit more pullin' power Anyhoo, did some playing on dyno today, and I didn't feel like pushing it any farther, even tho it could've gone quite a bit farther, but ended up w/ 492rwhp and 578rwtq. BTW, the TTi street kit kicks a$$. This thing drives almost like stock until you hit the go-pedal.

Dyno video 492rwhp

This Turbo-tech street kit is the same kit as the old Q.M.P. kit and the "new" GroundZero Motorsports Street Kit isn't it? It uses the factory exhaust manifold on the passenger side and a log manifold on the drivers with the turbo mounted where the alt. used to go right?
I noticed that you and Ryan K. have the same kit and it was dynoed at the same shop. Did you guys dyno on the same day? Which shop was this done? Where is it located? Do you trust them/like them or are they kind of your only close option? How much did they charge you guys for tuning? How different/how far off were your tunes compared to one another?
I have this same kit except it is an original Q.M.P. kit. I blew my stock engine making just 500rwhp and I wanted to have a shop that has done these before do it this time. I have a forged iron block I just had built and I want to run about 15psi like Ryan. Did you get a chance to ride in his car? If you did, what did you think?
Sorry for all the Q's. I'm really interested. Thanks! Mike W.

I was wondering the same thing. No... it can't be. Do you remember the video of a guy street racing while towing a BBQ pit behind his F-bod? You just never know

New they are still pretty pricey.

As copied from their web site:
With a 60-1Turbo, kit sells for $4795.00
T-76 system turbo sells for $5795.00

But its tried and true. TTi is easily the oldest company that sells turbo kits for ls1's.

I'll answer all the questions at once...been down since friday night when electricity went out...still out, I'm just at a friends house right now. Anyhoo, I bought the kit off of RICE ETR about a year and a half ago. I've got about $3-4k in it after having a few things done on it for me. Yes, Ryan K and I dynoed the same day at TTi with George there. If you wanna take your car there, you get prolly the best service and quality you'd get anywhere, George is a great guy to deal with and has a great deal of knowledge and experience. As far as tunes for Ryan and I, they are quite different. I'm running a stock bottom end with the stock pcm and Megasquirt controlling the fuel. He has a forged 370 and is running the accel gen 7 DFI. Kinda hard to compare there...and as far as the boat, yes, it is real. I towed it from back home in Ohio to out here in Washinton state with the T/A. If you need more pictures to prove it, I can provide you with them Any other questions lemme know, and thanks for the compliments!

Well, when you live in Washington and you drive home to Ohio for the purpose of getting a local guy to do a custom roll bar for you, and Dad offers to let you have the fishin boat that we've had since I was a kid, you put 2 and 2 together and come up with a solution. Not like it's hard to tow or anything. Not like I was stressing the car. Just gotta do what works. When you have only one vehicle, gotta get the boat around somehow. And the best part, I can still outdo most cars on the road even with the boat behind it. Just being practical, not a redneck.

That's totally awesome. I always wanted to put a little trailer behind my SS and pull my bike to the track and race it, then unhook the trailer and race the "tow rig"! Great numbers too!

I posted a thread 2 years ago about how to mount a kayak on my SS. That didn't go down too well on this board. I hope the boat is for bass fishing
