I need that guy to come to work and shut my boss up. Same exact thing, Stock LT1 Camaro. He is always taking about wooping on poor lil hondas, toyotas, and nissans. That would make him eat his words.

Uhhh.....I dont see how in the world an RSX with bolt ons is able to pull an LT1??? Unless that LT1 is ragged to hell or the driver just plain sucks that car should be a high 13 second to low low 14 second car. Maybe all the LT1s out there are just getting to be ragged out these days. Back in the day my 93 LT1 auto bone stock ran a best of 13.7@103.3mph.....I woulda DRUG that little 4 banger. Oh well.....props to a win I guess.

Ummm my friends RSX has pulled 14.0 1/4 mile times... Hes shooting for 13s today at the track. Im sorry but a stock LT1 automatic is not even close to being a high 13 second, or even a low 14 second car.

LOL.......are you calling me a liar?????? Go over to Camaroz28.com and ask around, ive got over 2,000 posts over there from back in the day and am WELL respected on that board. I assure you that MANY people will back up my runs and vouch for how strong my 93 was. Never touched a valve cover on that motor, it was COMPLETELY internally stock including rocker arms, I didnt even have an aftermarket torque converter and on street tires was able to get it to do a best of 13.2@107.5mph with normal bolt ons and 3.73 gears, full weight. I suggest you pick another person to have a dispute over what an LT1 will and WILL NOT run, because you've definitely picked the wrong person here.
That aside.....what "bolt ons" does your friends RSX have to run a 14.0 or 13 second 1/4mile time???

I didn't watch the vid, but a K20 RSX-Type S with full bolt-ons and a Hondata Reflash will trap over 100 in the quarter quite easily. Those K series blocks for their size, sure get it.
I've seen one like I mentioned with street tires run 13.8 @101, and those cars pull quite well for their size in the upper gears. So assuming that the driver of the RSX can drive, I could see where it might be a good race.
Edit: watched the race and the RSX seemed to be pulling away from the camaro quicker than I thought it should. With both trapping right around 100 if the RSX has the above, I'd assume it'd be a closer race. Seems to me the camaro isn't quite up to par.

Yeah, that Camaro can't be running right. I remember when my buddy got his RSX-S that he had a hard time pulling on a 4.0 Cherokee I raced him in my 91 L98 Z28 and I'd get him hard out of the hole until about 40 or so as he SLOWLY reeled past me. He even had a CAI and Hondata at that point too (he's not the best driver though). Not to mention my 150k miles and horribly slipping tranny. He wouldn't race my SS - hell, he was even scared to race a GTI. I do like his car for what it is though. He's also tastfully modded the exterior. I just don't like riding in it because it feels like I'm sitting on a bench seat.
What is the fastest Honda these days anyway (not counting the NSX)? S2000, RSX, or new Civic Si? How did those 97-01 Preludes fair? If I were to have a Honda, a Prelude is probably what I'd go for.

Right now I'm driving a V6 Camaro(CAI/exhaust tips).
I ran a friends RSX Type-S (CAI) from a dig, and my nose edged him out the entire time. I'd expect an LT1 to do better than that.

Im just going by that his RSX has run 14.0 1/4 miles just under 100mph. And a stock AUTO LT1..... he got waxed, and I def do NOT see him or anyone like it pulling a 13 second slip stock.
