Agreed.

I feel sorry for the kid. It sucks that your car got screwed too though. I still vividly remember seeing my golden retriever get hit by a car when I was 7. I know how that kid feels right now but he will get over...hell, I did.

You do know that when this kid get's older and becomes a serial killer, they are going to blame you for hitting his dog when he was 9.

Sorry about the dog. But I'm sure you didn't enjoy hitting it either.

You are probably better off just doing it out of pocket. If your deductible is $500 like most people's it will be cheaper. Buy a bumper from a junkyard, $150. Have it painted, $250. Take off the old one and put on the new one yourself. Its easy. $400 to do it all.

Oh, $500 if you include $100 to buy the kid a new dog.

nah, i have a 250 deductible,<---- thats all i pay.. and although i could, im not doing anything myself. the thought crossed my mind, but im not doing it myself, pinching pennies. its not gonna take long and i wont have to worry about anything.. my insurance isnt gonna go up as a result. i talked to them about it. everything is fine

Do both the check they send you will be for 1136-200 so you can fix it for fairly cheap and still come out ahead, not sure how much your insurace will go up since it really wasn't your fault after all
