Very nice.
Well I would've had him the whole race but
1. He launched his truck (2k or something), i just stomped mine
2. I had to completely let off on the 1 to 2 shift.

BTW My cam's specs are 224/228 114 LSA .581/.585

Yeah I still had a lil A/F ratio to play with, it was January when we dyno'd and tuned. there is still some there to play, but I have yet to put on my Ported TB, and I still dont have an LS6 Intake on it.

I will have the stuff on eventually, but saving pennies right now for Cam Packeage, Double Roller timing Chain, and Ported LS6 Oil pump, then I am going to install all of that stuff at once, and then get'er tuned.....Looking for 400-425....That is my goal.

How is driving the car with a cam with the stock stall? Does the car try to fight you when you hit the brakes?

Yeah, it does actually. I'm not sure what i'm going to do about the stall. An STS rear mount is in the near future and that will most likely equal a broken 4l60e. I may wait until that happens to go with a stall or I may order one next week, i haven't decided yet...

The guy that tuned my car, his shop partner Jessie has the STS Turbo system. He put down almost or just over 500rwhp on stock everything(I think he told me 518 @ the wheels before he broke something in the motor). There is actually a write up in Chevy High Performance on his car about the Install. They twisted 2 stock Drive Shafts before they upgraded to a 3.5inch PST Drive Shaft.

The Chevy HP mag is th April 2006 issue....It says "10 ENGINE COMBOS" with a Red RS Z-28 on the cover. Figured you might like to read that. Short article, but but from what I heard from Dan, there is more to come........

If you are going STS, build it before you buy it!!..LMAO Just my .02

I'm only going to push 5 psi, so the stock internals will be fine. Its the tranny and rear end i'm worried about. I'm actually buying back my old 6 speed 2000 LS1 from dad, so the sts project is going to be on hold for a while and i'm going to put a H/C package in the 6 speed and see what numbers that comes up with.

Your tranny will go before your rear. Autos are less prone to breakage early on.

Good luck with it. I know that I am look to go STS in the future, but I am going to go with the upgraded system that will allow about 15 psi. I am going to build up before I go that route.
I am going to get some 6 Liter Heads, turbo friendly cam, 9 inch Rearend, textralia Clutch, and an upgraded Drive Shaft. That way the only thing I have to worry about breaking is the Tranny.

But until then, it's just the basic cam set up and having fun doin it!
