Im glad its selling and its back but its becoming so damn mainstream its disgusting .

 

So damn mainstream? Like it's predecessor's were when they were in production? People have become dissillusioned by the absence of current production camaro's and firebird's in recent time to think that their car's were never mainstream at some time... It's no different now than it was, lets say, 1987. It's not a Corvette, and even those are not all that exclusive.

 

Yea, only roughly 75,000 2010 Camaros were sold in 2010. Over 282,000 Camaro's were sold in 1979 alone. Heck, every year of the first gen Camaro sold over 200,000 units each year. The 2010 hasn't sold near well enough to be mainstream yet.

 

I dont care if you guys agree with me or not but the people buying up the 5th gens
are douche bags . The 5th gen coming back spawned ALOT of posers and attracted
"Vette" drivers . What I mean by that is the people who buy them drive them slow as
**** , dont race them , think theyre better than everyone AND all previous Generation
Camaros . That kind of crap is what pushes them into the mainstream .

 

Mainstream is not a measure of sale numbers, it is more a concept of popularity, IMO. The new Camaro has become the new "flavor of the month" so to speak and a lot of people getting them are just jumping in the fashion wagon. The bad thing is that "flavors of the month" are easily forgotten...classics are not.

 

The fifth gen is today what the LS1 fourth gen was a decade ago. Old men and popped collar douches. Let them baby them and we can pick them up cheap later.

Sales numbers and popularity go pretty much hand in hand. I would say that this generation isn't nearly as popular with the buying public as it was in the previous generations. The economy probably had a lot to do with it, but still.

I made a thread of the car earlier, it got deleted somehow and everyone was thrashing it...especially the interior.

Everyone has an opinion and those who don't like that car are clearly wrong. It is a touch ricer but it look profecionaly done and the colors match. That interior could be done by foos or any well known name and no one would seccond guess it.

 

The main reason people were bashing you is because you were talking about how fast and loud that lt1 is. You also were talking trash about how you would take anybody but the "vettes" in a race.


Oh and you took out the dragon floor mats that gave you 8hp.

 

Actually the reason was the interior. then i started talking **** to add more heat since it almost hit 1000 views in a day boosting my youtube hits. im not saying its the fastest car out there but it will run. 11's at the track which is good but not good for me. Im putting this in the garage and getting a 2008 c6.
as for the dragon floor mats with the 8hp they are still there. this is a before pic.

 

11s isnt bad for an lt1, but its nothing to brag about on this forum. And the interior is a little ricy, but i must admit its not that bad. Also the people who said that the conversion looked bad were just picky. It looks ok to me.
