I read an article about them. The quote I remembered was "It isn't a race car, but it's faster than a lot of them." It isn't a six second car, but no doubt it is the quickest factory car ever made. Plus it handles.

16 cyl, 4 valves per cyl, 2 banks with twin turbos per bank, more coolant than gas my truck can carry (and it's a big truck) etc.

If I had a extra mil and a half hanging around, it might make a good purchase. With the limited production, I'd guess that VW is losing money on that one even at over a mil per copy. Probably comes with it's own live-in mechanic. And, yes, for the folks that are scratching their heads, VW bought out Buggati a few years ago.

I don't think I could drop that much but I wouldn't mind dropping that on a ferrari because we all know "Ferrari = Laid"

Veyron = laid x 20, although I'm more concerned with 1000hp. Vagina comes 2nd

it costs a lot but then again when you go to buy a ferrari (or bugatti) if you have to ask how much than you shouldnt be buying it.

its a hell of a car.. but i like the koenigsegg CCX or CC8 better.... they are just about as fast. 800-900hp or w/e it is now, but they are lighter than the mclaren F1!!!

I'm pretty sure on topgear they said it costs 4 million to make one. maybe that # is skewed though

I was thinking exactly that when I was watching their commercial for the Passat...lowest ego emissions my ***, they own a company who makes the most egotistical car ever created.

This thing can go from 0-200 several seconds faster then the McLaren F1. Like, when the F1 is going 140, this is going 200.

I wouldn't be suprised, if that number includes engineering and tooling costs. I'd guess the company thinks of it as bonus to keep the engineers happy. Plus, you've got to admit, there are certain bragging rights that go along with it.
