Crager, same question to you as well.
I have an old out-dated digital Sony DSC-F717 5.24mp. Not sure on the Dots Per Inch, there's different seetings for pixel sizes. I always use the highest one 2560 x 1920.

I'd really like to get a Cannon SLR camera, like the Rebel one. Some kind of SLR so I can change the lens, plus them SLR camera's seem alot more clear then my P.O.S. Sony.

Peace,
Craig.

The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT SLR 8-MP Camera that OnemeanZ uses is a "digital" SLR. I'm not sure if you were implying that or you thought it was a traditional SLR camera. About $900 to get started.
http://www.wolfcamera.com/product/541161212.htm

I just bought a $350 FujiFilm FinePix S5200 Digital Camera and it pretty much sucks. http://www.wolfcamera.com/product/54...igital-cameras
Only the lowest resolution looks any good and the higher ones have visable graining. (well, it's not that bad, if you take a larger shot and then shrink it down to 800x600, it's OK) The lowest setting is 640x480 BTW, which is just too small for me. I expected more from a 5mp digital camera. At first I thought it was defective, so I returned it and they swapped me a new one and it was the same way. It will be returned very shortly for a more serious camera. See here for a pic taken at 5mp size and shrunk down.

I just stepped outside and took it, how does that look?

You can see sample pictures of several cameras here on this site:
http://www.dpreview.com/gallery/
They didn't have the S5200, but I looked at the pics from the S5100 and they look noticably better that what I got.

I think the digital SLR's are where it's at for really good photos.
Check out the pics from the Nikon D50 (about $600)example: http://img2.dpreview.com/gallery/nik...s/dsc_0470.jpg

and the Canon EOS 350D Rebel XT (about $900)example: http://img2.dpreview.com/gallery/can...s/img_4040.jpg

I'm either going to get the Rebel XT now or wait just a bit for the new 10MP Sony DSLR-A100 to come out. (about $1000) example: http://img2.dpreview.com/gallery/son...s/dsc02090.jpg

Crager and Jason, go with the Canon. You'll be happy you did

Fungus, I shoot with a Canon 350D digital SLR. The Canon takes up to 3500x2500.

And your pictures are always awesome. I wish I could get a good camera like that but where I am I couldn't get a high dollar camera. I will one day. Considering I use simple point and shoot cameras, I think I do alright with my pics.

Heres some pics I took of LS1chris' car. I was trying something different for a change. I done some like this on my truck and liked to so I decided to do his that way too. This where taken with my Sony Cybershot DSC W-7

Honestly I think my Olympus takes better pics in certain situations. The Sony does better at races due to faster shutter speed. This pic was took with the Olympus, my first ever digital camera. I am not posting the actuall pic cause its my Ford.

Cool... I made the list.

The car in your avatar used to be mine too. Here's the link to the article where that wheel shot came from.
