Um actually it's not...Quoted by Nineball

It's called a "Sweep" in the auto photo industry. Basically, the photographer stands on the side of the road, focused on the car as it drives by. This makes the car perfectly in focus, and the background blurred. Of course, this requires a good camera, you can't do it with a high-speed point and click camera

hmmm...

A camera would embed code called "exif" data into the saved .jpg file. If the file is manipulated in anyway via photoshop or the like, that "camera exif" data gets removed, or a little tag gets added that it says "Adobephotoshop 7" or etc...

for example...

I recently uploaded a .jpg file located here: http://www.chestysoft.co.uk/upload/uploadexif.htm

Which is basically a ASP tutorial on how to read the exif data within JPG files...I tested with a photo I took with my camera and it came out with this data:

Now, I uploaded the picture above and I was returned with "No Exif Data"...so it may well be a "sweep" picture, and they edited it with photoshop for color, etc.. OR...they photoshopped the "motion blur" filter with cutting out the car...photoshop didnt add a tag, nothing did, meaning that picture was cropped to hell, effected and then saved as a.jpg

Either or...I love that vette and back on topic!

The vert is running Yokohama's DOT-legal competition tire the ADVAN A032R. They are like the Nitto 555RII autocross tire, but can be a bit noisy.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=ADVAN+A032R

The red TA looks to have the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2. They don't make them in 275 or wider for the 17" rim, but you do see them wide in the 18" and larger sizes.

That pic might have been, but not all motion blur pics are Photoshopped. And yes I know how to on Photoshop.

For example this one I took is not Photoshopped at all:

1LSWON https://ls1tech.com/forums/member.php?u=30047

This next pic, I did not take it but I did Photoshop motion blur into it:

BAD *** TA WS6 https://ls1tech.com/forums/member.php?u=4858

I use Photoshop to resized and crop all my photos. Most of the pics here are photoshopped. Why are we pointing out the obvious?

I use Photoshop to resize as well, crop sometimes. But I hardly ever use Photoshop to enhance my pics. You can always see with my pics if you look at my pic title it will have an "a" or "b" (2nd chop) after the pic number.

I have no idea why we are pointing it out, who cares really. If it makes it look better then go for it.

Peace,
Craig.

Photoshop is an industry-accepted means of enhancing photos, just about all photos in magazines are touched in some way, whether it is to sharpen them, maybe add/remove saturation, cropping, changing tilt angles, contrast, removing blems and lens dust, etc...

The end result is still the work of the photog/artist who submitted the photo.

Thank you, Tony! Hopefully some people will read this and understand that Photoshop doesn't make a great picture. If you have shitty composition, the photo can't be saved by photoshop, etc.

Agreed. Pictures straight out of high-end DSLR's, such as the 1D lineup from Canon, NEED to be retouched. You'd think by paying 4k for a camera it would come out like you want it to.. well, think again! they're known for coming out soft due to their large sensor. I usually spend 20-30min on 1 picture to get it to look how I want. Especially if you shoot in RAW, you have to adjust all the settings after you take the picture.

oh touche'!, and im not knocking the fact that photoshoping pictures is bad...however if you had a 4k DSLR the only thing you'd mainly need to do is adjust your levels here and there and call it a day...I was just simply stating, that vette picture definitely looks photoshopped and i was on the hunt to find out that it was! The "sweep" he was talking about didnt look natural like the example that was supplied below my original post...just also showing how you can read some cool data from .jpg / etc files that are plopped in there by your own digital camera...right down to aperture sizes and the like! So if you ever found out a sweet lookin' picture...you can pop it into that website and find out which camera took the picture
