Default my new srt-4

ok, first off...please don't flame me for posting this, I'm posting it as a friendly fellow enthusiast, I love the ls-1 vehicles, I have a lot of friends with them, so I have a LOT of respect for them, and I'm just excited about getting a faster car

that being said, I got me an 05 SRT-4 for a really good price over the weekend, if you're interested in pictures, the picture of it in my sig is a link, I've posted this on too many forums to repost the pictures yet again...sorry, I'm kinda lazy

*flame suit on* whatcha think?

I've always liked the Srt-4. I also love to beat them on the street. Ones around me think if they do a couple small mods, they'll whoop me. I wouldn't mind one as a DD. Do you get good gas mileage if you stay out of the boost?

yeah, you can get 30+ mpg if you stay out of boost on the interstate

and I absolutely hate SRT-4 owners like the ones you described, they make SRT-4 owners look like morons, and as everyone knows, there is quite the stereotype for the SRT-4 owners but oh well, I'll get over it...I'm already used to getting flamed for owning one lol

Looks nice, I'd say paint the rims spokes black instead of the red and it would look much better.

not just my srt, but all of the 2003-2005 srt-4's came from the factory with just two resonators and a cat...apparently it's legal, but I've heard stories of some guys having problems from the cops about it, even though it's stock.

SRT4's kick ***. I almost trade my 98 T/A for one. When I went to go test drive one I really thought I was going to be disapointed in it. A minute later I couldn't get the smile off my face. I drove a 05 with the ACR package, that thing handled great an was fast enough to have lots of fun with, an almost now lag from the turbo. Enjoy the car those things rock.

Welcome to the club, my NEON is my daily driver. Save up, put stage 3 on and some good mounts and you'll be in the low 12's. You can put them in the low 11's, but then traction and the stock bottom end are your enemy. They're a good solid car and alot of fun. Mine ran 14.0 @ 101 in 95 degree heat, so they have alot of potential. Is that the CE edition?

nah it's just the regular 05 srt-4...no ce or acr edition...I'd really like to get the stage 3 w/toys setup sometime, but for now, I'm going to stick with trying to get a halfway decent baseline run at the track...I ran last night and got some awful times, but I had like 500 lbs of added weight in the car and it was 95-100* out...and my mopar rice plate is leaking some crazy boost.

In Texas, a turbo counts as a muffling device, so technically, on anything equipped with a turbo, you don't need a muffler. That's why SRT-4's came with just a cat and resonators. Also why diesel pickups can run straight-pipes from the turbo back.

Before you go all crazy and do Stage 3 make sure you have supporting mods. Like 3 inch exhaust, Ported TB, Intake Manifold and so on. DO NOT buy a CAI, it's a waste of money. Work on getting the power to the ground, not adding more. As you may already know, wheel hop is an issue. PM me if you have any other questions, cause you'll have more dick heads flaming you.
