comparing those ford overall wins to the wins of lemans today is crazy. its like taking an nba championship team from the 60 and putting them up against a current team from the last couple years. things change and ford kicked ferrraris *** which is what they wanted. but racing then is nothing like racing now.

Oh, and mr WS6 with the road course question, You should watch the Top Gear episode where the Z06 is 3rd from the top of the list(faster that a Zonda) in the road course times and the GT is way down below. Z06 is more buck wild on the track than the GT ever will be. I usually don't get involved in these kinds of conversations, but this thread is pissing me off.

I went by memory and oops I got it wrong, the GT beat it.....BARELY. But you just watched it, and YES it DID beat the Zonda.

150k vs 80k lets do some math
150k minus 80k = 70k
put 70k into zo6=
fords wet dream
no way could a ford keep up with that no matter how you spend the money.
why are there ford guy posting on a chevy site anyway. they should be banned just my $.02
granted the ford gt has the looks and all but a car half the price keeping up with it come on now the only poeple crazier than the ones thalking about it are the ones buying them. hahahahahahahahaha

also, if somebody was to afford a Ford GT im sure they can modify it as well... the whole "i have 70k to mod w/" is a lame *** excuse, almost "ricer"-esque

I know im *** late on this one but, as far as the 1/4, I dont know what the gt's fastest time is yet, but somewhere in the corvette section on this site, a z06 owner(who prefers to keep his cars stock) ran an 11.2. They were talking about maybe even seeing stock Z06's into the high 10's before its over. Both cars rock, just take one of the best racing drivers for the gt against one of the best racing drivers for the z06 and let them decide, if it even matters....
