Default My 98 ROM T/A

Well I finally got around to taking some pictures of my new (to me!) T/A. I traded in a 2003 truck with 1/3 the miles to get this puppy I just couldn't resist passing up having an LS1 car of my own. Its a 98, with the "rare" Red-Orange Metallic paint and tan/black interior.

I am in love with this car. Only mods I plan on doing to it for now are a WS6/SLP H.O hood and repaint the front bumper when I get the hood painted. I just dropped $650 on new tires so there went my hood money. For the year it is and with the miles it has its in amazing shape. Well, on to the pics!

Yeah its Cayenne red metallic although the pontiac name for it is red-orange metallic (at least that's what my searches led me to believe). I know there's a few hardcore guys here that might jump on me for saying its cayenne red although it does sound a lot more exotic

But thanks!

man, if you were gonna spend $650 on tires, you should have got some rims, you can get ZR1's for cheap like 400-500 bux

Nice car man.

I would definitely save up for some rims though, the stock ones really detract from an otherwise beautiful car

Yeah rims are definitely on the list but of my other project. I also own an 81 Firebird, a 91 s10 blazer with airride and a channeled body (current project) and a 68 Chevelle. Right now I need to get the Blazer finished to drive it to next year's Texas heatwave where i'd like to show it. I know some of you won't care for it but here's where its at right now

i saw a firebird that was the same color the other day and i was trying to figure out what the hell color that was, its right in between being SOM and MRM. it bothered me so i had to look it up and found that that color was only an option on the 98's. very interesting. u should throw a WS6 hood on there and it would look really good.

Camaros are "Cayenne Red Metallic", but Firebirds it's called "Red-Orange Metallic". Having a taupe interior makes it a pretty uncommon car. They made 149 Trans Ams in that color in '98, dunno how many of those were taupe.

Yeah, places like paintscratch.com listed it under cayenne red and my local paint place said the formula table calls it cayenne red as well
