It's 30XX pounds. Puts out 612HP and revs to 8400RPM. If I'm not right on the money, I'm pretty close.

A guy who owns a body shop here in town just bought a brand new silver one. It is unbelievable to say the least...

What would be really sick is to see one of those GT's after Ruf is done with it but they are pretty much 911 Turbo only.

Mr. Macalister (owns CAT) comes to my work from time to time and now has a black 911T Ruf... it sounds so sick. He traided in his later model 911T for it because "he needed to go faster and have more power" said his wife!

A lot of those Porsche are hard to drive mostly because they will do more then what most drivers are comfortable doing in the corners, clutches are a lot touchier. My dad has a 81 924 Turbo and the gas pedal has no feedback at all and the clutch is not much better. When I first drove it I over reved it every gear.
The newer 911's are not as bad but its no LS1 stick car
The 80's 911 turbo cars have killed a lot of people because they are rear wheel drive (not AWD like the new ones), over 300hp, rear engine and when the boost kicks in near 3k rpm it would spin people off the road in a corner.
I am fond of the 924T just because when its going down the road you hear NOTHING but TURBO!

I dont think it pulled on the Z06 at all. I did however rip the Z06 a new one outta the hole. That is due to the engine being over the rear tires. Im not sure if its AWD or not but if it is then there you go.

Actually the Z06 looked like it was reeling the Porshe in and just ran out of room.

LOL all Porsches are a bit harder to drive. Especially the old ones. Try driving my old mans '70 911. Has a new clutch, but the tranny needs to be rebuilt. You have to double clutch every gear, and the spring guides are a PITA.

I've driven a BUILT 930 with about $30k in the motor. It's no wonder so many have died in them and that's the truth. At 4k the car was putting down around 450rwhp and you had to be ready for it.

I've always had a thing for Porsches. The engineering, the look, the amount of fun they are to drive. I just wish I had the money to play with them like these guys do.

Awesome sound on that Porsche. Sounds like a Le Mans racer (not F1, doesn't rev high enough). Hell the Porsche is awesome all around, so is the Vette. I think the Porsche Carrera GT is the best car in its price range, and one of the best cars out now period.

I want to see them run around a real race track, like Sebring or something. A track with a mix of handling sections and a long straight to stretch there legs out.

You have to be kidding me. They only raced 2 gears and the lead was increasing in those two. It would get real ugly as the speeds increased.

I agree. Bottom line, if you are pulling that hard on a C6 Z06, you have one bad *** ride, 400k or not.

I could listen to that car all day.

There's a RUF shop near my brother-in-law's work. They were having an open house for investors and we crashed it with a few friends. They had a Carrera GT there as well, not sure if it was getting worked on or if someone drove it up there for the open house. Many nice rides up there though, too bad I didn't bring a camera. I may as well have taken one, I stuck out like a sore thumb. It was obvious we weren't supposed to be there, no one said anything though.

Yea that place would work, little narrow but I don't think they'll be any passing anyway.

The Carrera GT was designed as a Le Mans race car, but the rules got changed right as it was being developed. So Porsche decided to turn it into a street car and get some of the cash back.
