Fast is Fast.. period.
That's a 2step rev limiter set at a modest 4500rpm due to my lack of traction at anything above.

Not likely. The STi 6spd is probably one of the strongest OEM 6spd trans. ever produced. I have yet to ever hear of one eat a gear or break a shaft due to abuse or launching.
They are conservatively rated by Subaru's STi division at 800ft/lbs.
Breaking rear axles are another story. And a very common one.

I put a link to it on the 3SI forum and it sparked some good debate there as well http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=344717

No ****... I'm saying that as much as people don't think that the DSM is faster, it is... by saying that I'm not buying into the "Z06 was a shitty driver" card. That's where I was going with that...

I know there isn't a factory twin turbo setup, he fabbed it all himself.
car looks stock and almost sounds stock, no stickers or anything so i don't see how its "rice". he also has a twin turbo stealth that he drag races.

the dude had an idea and actually did it. He said he is probably the only one with a twin turbo fwd eclipse.

I'm not a DSM expert, but a small displacement inline four with twin turbos CANNOT BE the ideal set-up considering that only two cylinders can then feed each exhaust housing... Jeez, there's lag enough when all four feed into one! There seems to be more turbo than motor there... I hope those turbo's are pocketsized.

yeah they are small, i don't know the exact sizes on them. I have seen the setup and its tucked in there pretty nicely. Hes spent a few hours at work staring at his fuel air ratios and other various points of interest in his tuning software. I took a ride in it when he got it done. i don't remember any lag, thats not to say there wasnt any. spins through 3 gears, its quite the ride. would be hell on wheels if it could get it all to the ground.

his name is Jon, hes from mn. some of you dsm guys have probably heard about it, i'm not sure what forums hes on. anyway back to the talon/z06 discussion.
sorry for the high jack....

mazda did it with thier rx7's and with a tiny 1.3? liters. thier turbos were sequential though right?
